OPA! A Taste of Greece

I give 5 stars to anyone that has authentic Gelato. This place is another local gem you need to go to. They have all kinds of Greek food and treats. There are 2 small tables if you want to sample some items. From Grape leaves to gyros, there is plenty to try.

My wife and I were on vacation at Sunseekers resort and decided to go to venture off site. We actually stopped at the coffee shop located in the same center and afterwards walked into Opa grocery to look around. Had a chance to meet the owner and we talked about family and traditional Greek food. Being of Greek heritage, he was very pleasant and informative. Having been to Greece many years ago I had a good idea as to what authentic Greek food taste like. Both my wife and I were very impressed with several choices of items we ordered including a lamb gyro. His food is the real deal. You won't find any place else that has such authentic food. Make sure you make this a destination spot if your vacationing here and locals if you try it out it will soon be your favorite as well. Richard & Anita

Best gyro I've had in a long time!!! Lamb get the lamb!! I could smell the yummy food outside even with the door closed. Lol
The desserts are heavenly as well! The teas here are wonderful for a hot day as well. The owner is very welcoming as well!! Thank you for the experience and yummy food!!

Popped in just to take a look and left with a delicious Greek salad. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other yummy looking dishes they have! Very accommodating and personable! (The candy bar is the best LOL)

I just had the best experience at this Greek grocery store. Tara and Paul are absolutely lovely and so helpful. I tried their spinach pita and it was amazing. They also had so many frozen greek dishes that are so authentic. I will definitely be coming back and recommend to anyone looking for an authentic greek experience.

The owners and store are absolutely great. It's like going to Greece... friendly, welcoming, and warm.

Great little Greek grocer in Punta Gorda. Pick up your feta, olives and olive oil. Try the home made Greek foods. Pastitso is delicious

Amazing traditional Greek store. My wife who is from Greece and came to the US when she was an adult was amazed by how many authentic Greek Food, and drinks they had. If you want a true taste of Greece and not the “ American-Greek” version then this is the place for you!

Love this place-- just moved here from up North & its hard not having family around. Its been nice having access to some of these traditional Greek favorites: things I used to have at home, or with family on special occasions...a great selection overall

My husband and I have been to this little store twice and we absolutely love it! Very friendly and a good selection of groceries, baked goods, and even gelato! It always smells delicious in there!

Wonderful! I got pastries here for a holiday party and everyone was so helpful. Plus everything they gave us was DELICIOUS! So glad to have a fun market in the area.
