J&P Fresh Market

I really like this store. They have great produce that I can't find in most grocery stores

Everything I needed, fresh produce. I love the pea pods.

There is a focus of dried food.
There are plenty of fresh vegetables.
Fozen section has a few desserts. I like the Ramen noodle selection.

Wonderfully fresh food. Great junk food selection as well, but I go for the veg and mushrooms.

Finally! A good Asian grocery store on the west side! There is a good and authentic selection of Asian products at this unassuming little store. It's conveniently located just across from Woodman's so that a person can do all their grocery shopping at once. When browsing the store, I was impressed with the selection of fresh vegetables, meat and seafood. The signage across the store had lots of Chinese, and the sweet lady who checked me out also spoke to me in Chinese (she speaks in English, too.) The atmosphere is open and friendly and I'm definitely going there again!

J&P offers a wide variety of Chinese food products at a reasonable price. They even have harder to find veggies like lotus root and Chinese eggplant. I’m excited to cook up some delicious food!

It's always good to shop over there. They have a good amount of varieties and the produces are fresh.

This is probably the best Chinese store you can find in Madison. They truly know what Chinese, especially Chinese students want. Plus the restaurant next door is not bad. It's not American style Chinese food you would find here. It's northern Chinese food and they don't use tons of spicy ingredients to raise the flavor. Of course, this 5 stars are for only Madison area.

A Chinese market with quite a lot fresh grocery items. Vegetables are pretty good. Inside has a tiny restaurant-like booth, in which it sells some Chinese street food. Good taste with a reasonable price!

Good veriety of Chinese groceries. I always can find what i need. The freshly made deli section is pretty good but only available on weekends. I also like the Chinese restaurant Zen Zen that's connected to the grocery store. Makes it convenient to eat and shop at one stop.

Sometimes they make food that you can buy that's really good. Spicy thin sliced pig ear today, yum!

I've been visiting for a few months now, and it's my preferred location for any produce they carry. If you want chayote (pear squash) or napa cabbage, it's always nicer at J&P than at nearby Woodman's.

And, they have melon candies.

They have everything you need for Asian dishes! Really great Asian snack collection :)

Fantastic super clean with affordable, high quality, and ultra fresh food. Better then everywhere else. Significantly cheaper then woodmans on most items. Wonderful staff, although not all speak english. Honest hardworking kind hearted people. Best of madison.

Great place with great prices. Gets busy easily as there are only 2 checkout lanes. That is typically on a Friday night when it is busiest. Food is good at the restaurant as well.
