It's my niece's birthday tomorrow and I haven't bought any gifts yet so I decided to come here yesterday. It's also my free time yesterday.

There are few customers inside. I look at the best gifts that I will buy. Since he loves cars, I decided to buy a toy car. There are different kinds and sizes of cars. The big car was so cool. It was pure black and perfect to display in his room. I asked the staff what the price was and I was surprised since it was pricey. But based on the quality of the car it was totally lit. It was heavy and good to play. I paid for it at the counter and they put it in a nice bag since it was in a box. U highly recommend this store.

Next week will be my little brother's birthday. He was so excited to have a lot of gifts and toys. Since I had no work yesterday I decided to come here. I just found out about this place when I was driving when I found this store. When I enter I can see a lot of toys in here and also some art and school supplies. At first I did not know what to buy. Then some suit grabs my attention. It was an astronaut suit. It was cool and pretty cool. The fabric was comfy. It's a little bit expensive but it's worth the price since I'm sure my little brother will be so happy with this. I chose a red color and I paid for it at the counter. I'm so excited to see his reaction. And also I'm so happy that I found this store.

Great staff recommendations. I don't know anything about kids and what's safe or fun for different ages, regardless of what the packaging says. I picked up a super fun air fort that hooks up to a box fan and a rainbow bubble machine for a birthday for a 2 year old and his 3 year old sister. It was a SMASH HIT. I was in and out in less than 10. Gift wrap was complimentary and gorgeous. Thank you guys!! I'll be back again and again. 🫀🦋🌈

Great selection of both books and toys. I can't think of another toy store like it. Good hands on toys for many ages. Book selection is diverse, up to date, and empowering for kids.

We have a mini party for the family. Many kids are in our family. We came here to buy a lot of toys. We will wrap it and game to them and also as a piece for the games. We have a lot of games to do. For the adults we bought some kitchen furniture. We choose to buy books and school supplies, stuffed toys, robots, Barbie and many more. Staff help me in choosing what we pick. They give me a huge discount. They are happy since we bought many. They pit in the huge plastic. They have a different plastic in every toy, baby and book .They even help us to put it in our car in an organized way. Their customer service was great as well as the product.

Awesome toy store with great service. I was trying to get a gift in a hurry, and had a couple of questions. I called the store and Dominique was so incredibly helpful. She took pictures of the toys that seemed to match what I was looking for and then when I made a decision she wrapped the present in the shape of a piece of candy. It was one of the most pleasant shopping experiences I have ever had. I will go to them first for all my gifts from now on.

Play is always my go to for gifts! At the beginning of the pandemic I needed a last minute baby shower gift. I called play since their in-store shopping hours didn’t work for me and the woman I talked to was very helpful and accommodating. She made recommendations based on my price point and even directed me online where I could see images of the items she was recommending. When I arrived for the pick up, my items were even gift wrapped in the sweetest wrapping!! I’m going to see my nephew, who the gift was initially for, for the first time since the pandemic started and will be stopping by Play to pick up another gift. They are the best and I highly recommend supporting this small business!!

I've lost count how many times Ann and her team have gone above and beyond for our family. The personalized service, recommendations, and care in packaging gifts can never be replicated by an algorithm or online retailer. In particular they have great advice on gifts for grade school kids.
Play is an essential part of the neighborhood in Logan Square, and the other locations are wonderful too.

This is my favorite place to buy gifts for my nieces and nephews! They have a highly curated selection of toys, books, and a helpful staff. They also do a wonderful job gift wrapping 🙌, I've heard they will gift wrap items not purchased at the store (if they're not busy) for a few dollars.

This is a great toy shop. Excellent selection of interesting new and classic toys for all ages. Free gift wrapping. It's our go-to for birthday gifts. Also wonderful for the holidays!

A wonderful little toy store with a helpful staff that can help pick out just the right gift. They also provide gift wrapping which is really helpful when you are stopping by Play right before attending a child's party. Bonus: they have story time twice a week, Tuesdays at 11am and Thursdays at 3pm but during the holiday season they suspend story time, best bet is to call just to make sure.

No visit to Logan Square is complete without a stop here. When I think about how to increase local shopping - I think about businesses like Play. They know their market, and serve it well.

I don't live in Chicago, but I did receive *play's gorgeous holiday catalog this year, and in an effort to shop local, coordinated a one-on-one call with someone from the team (thank you, Bailey!) to do my shopping from afar. Not only did they go out of my way to accomodate my distanced request, but Bailey *showed* *up* for every single gift request I had! They helped me find a gorgeous, thoughtful, kid-approved gift for each of my nieces and nephews as well as my 17-month-old. AND TO BOOT, they wrapped it beautifully for me and sent it up to Wisconsin for an incredibly reasonable shipping cost (peanuts, truly). I cannot sing the praises of *play enough-- this is the kind of thoughtful, awesome local biz that I feel so incredibly lucky to have (semi-)nearby.
