Made a stop in today and picked up a new Recon 9' in 6wt, and a hydros reel. From the time I walked in the door it was a good I dealt with Lyle he hooked me up with a spool full of pro super taper. I enjoyed shooting the fishing chat with him and would recomend this store to anyone. From floor to register a great experience!

The sales staff here are very helpful and upbeat. Two salesmen, George and Ben, offered to help at various times. When I ultimately was ready to be helped with some Barbary clothing, George happened to be busy helping another customer. Fortunately, Ben was available to help answer a few questions and ring up my purchase. It’s great to feel appreciated as a customer here!

Great store, friendly staff. Tried on a Barbour jacket, they have a good selection. I hope they stay in business tho in this economy. Location isn’t optimal, business would be much better in Tyson’s.

Ryan was super friendly and helpful, and explained lots of the basics of fly fishing to my wife who is just getting started!

Will Oliver has been outstanding for several years now. He recently solved a complicated problem that I had. It was Memorial Day and he actually drove to the store just to help me out. Orvis Tysons has the best customer service I've ever encountered in an Orvis store.

Went to the store to find some fishing gear. Never fished before. Rally good store. The fishing manager Ryan also introduced a class fishing101&102. Really good and fun class. Enjoy it a lot!

The fishing department is outstanding here. It's a bit of a strange place altogether. It's like they put a really nice local fly shop in the back of a preppy clothing outlet store. On the plus side my girlfriend is usually willing to go in to look at clothes while I shop for fishing stuff.

I love the quality and styles, but the product is way overpriced. Fly reels are a best value, and the same goes for waders and boots.

What a refreshing experience. I didn't think that good customer service existed any longer but it does. Everyone was nice and helpful. There was no pressure at all and every question that I had was answered. Karen was great. I especially thought that that Lyle was courteous and helpful. Thanks!

It's a Great place to Shop for Fly Fishing Gear and apparel. Ryan helped me out today with picking out some great fly tying material and suggested a couple things I never thought of with different tricks and tips I've never used before. He offered to come take one of his fly tying classes to get a better understanding of maybe some helpful stuff I might be missing in my experience. I could see why this class would be helpful especially just a couple tricks he showed me in the store from his years of experience tying. They were all nice and I appreciate the depth of knowledge shown by everyone at the store. I really appreciate the help. Their stuff is not cheap. But it is priced consistent with the quality of their merchandise, so it represents a good value to me. Staff is always helpful. They assist me when I'm looking for help, and leave me alone when I want space. What other way would you have it? Have been there dozens of times in the last 15 years. Always had a good experience.

I shop often. I have never had a bad experience, especially with the fishing staff. Excellent assistance in selecting waders or flies, even when I am only buying 5 or 6 flies. Sounds to me that a couple of previous raters had a "tude" when they walked in.

I highly recommend the free half day class on fly fishing. The instructor went over casting and the basic equipment and flies. Went with my son. We loved it and are now avid fly fishermen! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Where is is hard to find a salesperson in most retail stores, there is always someone to help you at this store location. Very friendly and competent service and the clothing is of very good quality. I love their outerwear.

Best fly fishing and outdoor store in the area. The employees know what they are doing and can get you started fly fishing. The free classes are great for beginners and their brand is the best on the market.

Went to a fly tying class on the weekend. It was an excellent class with knowledgable staff / instructors. Very fun class and learned the basics of fly tying. Purchased a tying kit after the class and now I have a new hobby when not fishing.

I love this place. I am glad they moved to this location, the old place was charming but not easy to get to. The new store is very open, great parking, and the staff is top notch and friendly.
