Dollar General

There is a reason this store is busy and has a perfect rating so far. First of all, it's SPOTLESS from head to toe. I did not notice a single speck of clutter anywhere in this store. I interacted with a nice lady, who blew me up a balloon but made sure the others in line were served first and in a quick, timely manner. I was highly impressed.

This is a great, GREAT store. This might actually be the best one I have been to, and I've been to over 50.

Great employees and store is always clean. The only thing is this dollar general needs to get ice like all the other ones. You have a lot of people that go out to lake or goes up to hanging rock or even does events in the area but we have to drive to walnut cove or Madison to get ice. I hope they will eventually get some ice there.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews but this was the best way for me to leave well deserved feedback about an employee at this location. I hope it reaches the right people and her leadership team provides her with the recognition she deserves.

On my way home from work yesterday, I stopped by the Dollar General off of HWY 772. I grabbed a couple of things and headed for checkout. There was a gentleman in front of me with 2 packs of soda and this very sweet and friendly cashier who’s name is Alexis said to the man, “you know these are 3 for $12 right?” He replied, “that’s a good deal but no, I don’t think the deal applies to these ones.” She replied, “I think it does! Let me go back there and check and if it does I’ll grab you another one!” This cashier went above and beyond, left the register just for a moment, grabbed the man’s soda and checked him out. It probably made his day. It made mine just seeing someone care enough to help another person out.

Next in line was me, I placed my two items on the counter and checked out per usual when I noticed a clearance event poster. I asked her what it was about and she told me all about it; including where in the store everything that had been marked down was located. I grabbed my bag and a shopping cart and started perusing. I found all of the clearance items and honestly it was a steal. I filled my buggie up - stocking up on soap and laundry essentials. I got over $100 worth of products for $50.

Waking up this morning, I’m still thinking about the great trip to the store and interaction. Alexis is so informative and friendly. I hope she stays at this location for a long time.
