Pretty standard airport store. They were out of the snacks I wanted but had a pretty good selection of everything else including souvenirs/ gifts. They have self checkout and a register but when I was there they only wanted you to use self checkout.

The parent company website has tagline #CreatingUniqueExperiences… Well, that’s exactly what I got but in the worst way. I’d I could give a -27500…. Atrocious. It’s similar to the guy who made complaint in the reviews 2 months ago… three engaged in the most vile complaining- MF this MF that, B this B that; complained about helping a older person with disabilities and how “she’s playin’ in my face with a B, they will try to finesse you… “ how they don’t have real disability and how she won’t help them …. The one lady who appeared to be Latinx was silent but complicit because she didn’t try to get them To talk softly or remove herself from the conversation … the the third of the terrible unprofessional trio starts talking about how dangerous in-gendered restrooms are and the weirdos…. I promise I can’t make this up… and it was such hate speech against literally everyone … just vile and violent just with word choice and lack of care … I thought I reached out via a digital receipt to a person and got the actual owner of another business -she was amazing as was her business where I bought a healthy wrap. We had the nicest chat about the importance of great customer service. Please support her business, Safi Wrap! AMAZING!

But not brookside local at MCI airport a self serve convenience store & not the one that has card swipe to get in… this has “workers”… they would be so much better if they fired the team and let customers use the honor code. KC is a kind and welcoming city that I’m proud to be from and live in…. We have problems like any other place … but this behavior set EVERYONE back. Not allowing my joy to be stolen on Juneteenth nor hear other groups disparaged.

I recently visited and was disappointed by the service provided by one of their employees. The individual seemed disinterested and complained openly about their job duties. Their lack of professionalism was evident as they muttered complaints under their breath and failed to acknowledge simple gestures like wishing them a good day. It's disheartening to spend money at establishments where employees show such apathy towards their work and customers. Perhaps management should consider addressing these issues to ensure a more positive shopping experience for all patrons.

Don't buy electronics there. I bought a charger and remembered my dead device was in my checked bag so I was unable to charge it before my flight. I went to return the unopened charger same day only to be turned away as they "do not refund electronic devices" according to a board in the store. No mention of that policy on the receipt.The salesperson was friendly but the policy is not. Buyer beware. The store needs a disclaimer at the register and on the receipt. The receipt only states unworn merchandise my be returned up to 30 days. I would be happy to retract my statement if they make this right.
