I initially went into the shop because I was getting interested in cycling, but knew absolutely nothing about how to get into it. The employees and owner were unbelievably warm and welcoming and answered any and all questions I thought of. There was no pressure to buy or upgrade, and when I was ready to buy my first bike I felt confident I was getting exactly what I needed. Everyone that works there just seems to be interested in spreading cycling knowledge and sharing their experiences. They’re all very much enthusiasts first and sales people second from my experience.

In addition to being a nice bike shop, there’s a nice little cafe and some beers on tap. It’s a great place to hang out with a great vibe.

Highly recommend checking The Bike Lane out if you’re in Reston. They’ve made me a customer for life.

Happening bike shop with lots of experienced sales folks, each more a fan of biking than the next. No hard sell, a great deal cut on an older floor model, and a new e-bike owner was created after a single visit to The Bike Lane. It was a bonus to be able to grab an iced tea from the brewery side of the endeavor, as we waited for the bike to be charged and serviced. Wonderful energy in this store - I’ll be back often!

As a new unexperienced rider, the workers of the Bike Lane were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I felt very welcomed and not rushed looking for a bike and that made it a great experience. I also felt no pressure to buy a bike or purchase accessories they were only suggesting and would understand I could buy at a later time. I would go back, they were a recommendation to me and i would recommend future cyclists

Best bike shopping experience I’ve ever had. My daughters have grown up in this shop buying bikes as they grow and get better. Every member of the staff is extremely helpful, extremely polite, and extremely knowledgeable. And the second best part is having a beer while you’re there! I cannot say enough about The Bike Lane…10 stars!

By far the best Bike shop in the DMV and best I’ve ever done business with anywhere. Todd the owner and his staff are second to none. From the best customer service imaginable to the best bike repair service and merchandise anywhere. I won’t do business with any other bike shop unless it’s an emergency and I’m not in town they are my go to for everything. The brew pub and beers they make in house are also sensational and have won awards. A++ all around

I highly recommend the Bike Lane! Todd and Adam were super helpful. They assisted me in selecting the perfect bike and helmet. They even ordered a specific bike for me to test ride, no pressure to buy, before making my final selection. Bonus!? The shop is right off the W&OD trail. They rent bikes to ride and they have a brewery!

Bill the bike fitter was excellent in every way! His knowledge, experience and down to earth personality. Made it very easy to work with.
I really enjoyed my time and walked away with more knowledge.

Bike Lane is an excellent bike community resource! Their service department is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced and quickly identifies and fixes issues. Their pricing is very reasonable and I wish all bike shops were run with this level of professionalism and care.

I am so impressed by the customer service. I am a HS teacher who brought her student’s bike in having NO IDEA how expensive repairing a bike would be. From the start, Mark was extremely kind and encouraged me to bring the bike in. He glanced it over and filled the tires before I took it to the amazing Richard. I explained my tough situation and he was so generous. He made sure I was able to afford the repair and got it to me the same day. It was a stressful day at work and I could not have appreciated more the help I got from both amazing employees. This will be my family’s only bike shop from now on. Big bonus is the brewery too :)

We’ve purchased three or four bikes from here over the years and we couldn’t recommend this bike shop more. Always friendly and willing to answer questions. They know what they’re talking about too. Truly very nice people. Adam has been amazing at getting my family set up with bikes.

Great place convenient to the W&OD trail and Lake Fairfax trails on the bottom side. Sales, service/repair, rentals, bar (yes food and refreshments)...spent a couple of different days here trying a rental bike out and considering a purchase. Everyone was super helpful.

I wiped out on a nearby trail and misaligned my handlebar. I walked my bike here and was promptly assisted. Other than a great service shop, this is a great place for a quick pitstop. Restrooms, food, drinks, and a cold water dispenser are available.

I have 0 knowledge about bikes. I went here and was helped by Todd and Michelle, who were both incredibly lovely and kind! Got a bike so I don’t have to walk 4 miles a day anymore to run my errands.

Oh, and the pho here was really good too!
