Okay, so I've had mixed results with Rite Aid pharmacies in general. Some have been mediocre, some have been absolutely poor, and on occasion, I've had excellent experiences as well. I don't wish to focus as much on the negative, so I want to write this positive review.
I've been visiting this Rite Aid for years, on behalf of my Family, myself, and for those who I enact as a caretaker. Within the past week, this particular store did not have the RX I needed, and okay... it happens. I was told to go to Rite Aid on Riverside and Fulton (maybe ~5 miles away at most.) I ended up dealing with this Rite Aid for 1+ week without any results... This was soul crushing. I was getting absolutely nowhere with the supposed Rite Aid that had the stock on the medication I was prescribed. After spending 1+ week with this Rite Aid on Riverside/Fulton with no results, and experiencing absolutely terrible customer service, I decided to return and consult with my primary Rite Aid on Woodman/Sherman Way.
At this point, I must say that Ani, the tech at this store, went above and beyond with no questions asked. I was in the store for no less than 5 minutes before she called an questioned the facility I was referred to. She stuck to her guns, was 100% professional, and (in my limited knowledge) reprimanded the staff on the seriousness of the situation. The day I visited the Rite Aid on Sherman Way/Woodman, they said they would not have the recommended RX for about a week. I was then recommended to a nearby Rite Aid (Riverside/Moorpark) as they had stock based on what was listed in the system.
Within under minutes she had the other store on the phone, questioning their antics, standing up for what she deemed as medically ethical. I didn't hear the full conversation, but she was stern and displayed an amount of professionalism that will continue to impress me from here on out. I waited for basic painkillers for a broken arm and fractured pelvis... This went on for a week before the Rite Aid in question ( Riverside Drive and Fulton ) made little effort to pretend to care. I visited Ani at the other Rite Aid on my way home, because I really didn't know what else to do at that point .After her phone call to the other store, it took maybe 10-15 minutes for the other Rite Aid to text me that my prescription was ready... Weird because they "didn't have stock for weeks."
I do not mean nor wish to write negative reviews for those who have procedure to follow.. But let me tell you... If there's ever any patient advocate needed within the Rite Aid network in the San Fernando Valley... Ani at the Woodman/Sherman Way office is who you want to deal with. She won't accept any BS. So Ani, I don't know if you'll ever get to read this, but I thank you for all your help, and for helping me navigate through all the BS that other locations attempted to put me through. You are the real deal, and you deserve every bit of appreciation you have coming your way!

This Rite Aid is where they filmed “The Office” episode in which Jim and Pam are shopping for stuff for Michaels birthday. Jenna Fisher (Pam) said she would often stop there to shop on the way home from the studio after filming.
