K-10's Model Trains

Great place to run model trains. Huge layout where you can bring your own locomotives and cars to run. They also have a hobby shop as well. Excellent place.

My family and I visited just to see the setup. The hobbyists here were so welcoming and inviting to all of us, including the children in our group. The owner/creator of the group was especially enthusiastic and it elevated the whole experience. Really great group

Great place to use your HO model trains at, though it is somewhat limited in HO items it has a large a much less limited amount in O scale items.

Always been a fan of model railroading since I was a kid, and went to look at there shop and was amazed! Now I'm getting back into the hobby. If you have never been and like model railroading I would definitely go.N scale and HO scale.

Great place to go Ken and the guys there are so very helpful a patient with my son and me . We love going there . Highly recommended to go and run your trains or just go and watch.

This place is incredible! Even if you are not presently a HO train buff, you will be after you this their huge layout! The personnel are very helpful and knowledgeable. They fixed several problems with my locomotives while I was there. Great selection at their store, too.

If you like trains and modelling, you'll enjoy this layout. This is a great family place for kids 8-10+ and adults with an imagination for fun. You'll find a vast array of track, trains and accessories in multiple scales waiting to be discovered. And on the 1st Sunday of the month, the shop opens up to let kids who meet a height requirement (call for details) run trains themselves in this 60'x70' lifelike diarama of mountains, quarries, rivers, tunnels, factories, neighborhoods and even a thunderstorm. Have fun!

Great place to bring little kids who love trains. I've been going since I was little. Very nice volunteers. They will help you with anything. The hobby shop is a great place to go Christmas shopping. If I like going so will you

This place is amazing! I've been bringing my son since he was 5. The model layout in the pictures is set up so that your kids can come in and drive the trains around. My son loves it

Spent many days as a kid here, and still come back when I'm I'm town.
The staff can be a bit rough around the edges but with this much money and time sunk into something it should come as no surprise they are wary of it being damaged.
You can donate to then to help keep the layout and open operation days going.

Great prices and you HAVE to see the layout. Check the website for store hours. Visitors can drive the trains on the 1st Sunday of the month!

The layout will leave you speechless. I found a couple locomotives new in their hobby shop that I though I was going to have a hard time finding even used on eBay. Karen may seem rough, but she is sweet. I had a lightbulb go out on an Athearn locomotive and she went above and beyond to help me get it fixed. The only thing is I wish they had more Atlas code 83 track.

Great customer service came on day closed and opened shop for us . Only takes cash . Coming back end next month . Bought lots and happy with purchases

K10 Model Trains has the largest selection of HO equipment in the St. Louis area. They carry most, if not all major brands, including Athearn, Kato, Intermountain, Atlas, Walthers, Broadway Limited, and LOTS more. Prices are VERY good on most products, especially for a brick and mortar store.

And, of course there is the layout that is open certain weekends and evenings, and the public can operate their own equipment on their spacious and gorgeous indoor layout. There is a 5 dollar donation requested for running on the layout, but this is more than worth it for the experience! It is Digitrax DCC equipped, and they do have some throttles available to use there, but if you have your own throttle, I recommend bringing it.

If you are an HO or N model railroader j HIGHLY recommend checking K10s out. They are easily the best model train shop in the St. Louis area, in my experience.
