Wonderful place to shop. Knowledgeable staff and owner is first rate. Walked me throughout the shop and made me feel like he really wanted to help me. Went in just wanting to
find out what I needed to start fly fishing. Was treated like a veteran fly fisherman and never was made to feel doltish about what I didn’t know.
Was not oversold on what I needed. Have been back and will continue to return. Folks are great for the sport..

The Hatch is the best (and only) fly shop in Chattanooga. Seth's shop is a great place for beginners or advanced fly fisherman to get what they need to succeed on whatever type of fishing trip they want to do.

It's also a good place to pull up a stool, grab a beer and share fish stories.

He usually puts on a fly tying night the first friday of each month which is a great time

Visiting from Boston and did a full day drift with Lake on the Elk. Wade was professional, courteous and good company. Great trip, lots of trout and really pretty river.

Great to have a good fly shop back in Chat. The owner was very helpful. Going over some new places for me to fish, leader sizes and sharing some brand new flys for the exact spot I was going. As you can see from my pics they are dog friendly. Make sure and support your local shop!

The Hatch has been a steadily growing fly shop in the southeast for awhile now. Seth’s ability to usher in the newly growing fly fishing community in Chattanooga has blossomed through the shops ever present events including tying nights and brand vendor supported events. Sorry Hatch Outfitters the review was a mistake/confusion of several Google reviews at once. KJ Norbury helped my wife and I ….above and beyond with equipment selection and advice. KJ ordered correct women’s size for my wife and gave us valuable/practical tips….tieing flies and more. Again sorry for confusion the folks at The Hatch Outfitters were recommended and get a 5 star in my ratings ….and such! Thank you we will be back. Tad Bromfield

Best fly shop in Chattanooga area! Staff are easy to talk to and they are very knowledgeable. Seth and his crew do great things to promote fishing in the Chattanooga region and are great ambassadors to have. It's good to have them around!

Stopped by Hatch Outfitters on a recent visit to Chattanooga. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. There was a good selection of flies, tying material and gear! The shop looks amazing, definitely a place I’d like to sit and tie some flies. Highly recommend!

Thanks to the super helpful guys at The Hatch I was able to land a pair of reds on Chickamauga Lake, a first for me! The shop is fully stocked with all the big names but most importantly it has a bar chocked full of local beer! So run, don't walk to The Hatch Outfitters in Chattanooga, TN & grab a local brew & let Seth or KJ tell you what flies the big ones are biting.

I was getting tired while driving through Chattanooga so I decided to check out The Hatch Outfitters while stretching my legs. Great selection of locally tied flies (had to go back out to the car for my wallet). Nate was very helpful. He even gave me a few free flies to try out. The merchandise is high quality, and all the staff was very helpful. Nate said they are going to start serving adult beverages soon, as well as offering fly tying glasses. The parking is a little challenging, but doable. I look forward to getting back in there and chatting. BTW take a look at the live edge bar Nate made.

Visiting from Birmingham, we stopped in for local flies and local intel on places to fish. The owner was super friendly and gave us plenty of insight on local fishing plus specific directions to his favorite river. He also picked out a handful of flies tied by locals. The shop had plenty of top notch gear and apparel plus a beer bar! Best experience! Highly recommend!

It is great to have a local fly shop here in Chatt ! Nice small intimate shop in a cool old building. I needed to upgrade my waders, fly line, etc... These folks were awesome. Need to head back over there for some other fly line and possibly a new fly rod. Check them out, have a beer and support your local fly shop !!!

Dropped by today for some flies and advice since I’m fairly new to fly fishing. Seth was a great help and had answers to all my questions. It was great to get tips about local streams while enjoying a cold beer. Looking forward to going back!

Planned a trip to Chattanooga to fish the surrounding areas. Called The Hatch before going and they were great with giving us the details of the land and what was being fished and where. A visit to the shop had us buying everything we needed and then some. Chase was super helpful and this is a super awesome shop. If your planning a trip to Chattanooga i would definitely recommend a visit to The Hatch.

Great shop, great beer, knowledgeable about surrounding trout streams and the local warm water fisheries, selections of flies is great. whether your chasing musky, brookies, or bass they have it. One dude in there is weirdly obsessed with skipjack...but other than that. Definitely worth a visit!

The Hatch is a very cool spot. We were visiting from Florida and I was in search of some local knowledge. Fortunately I was able to get in touch with Seth. He got me set up with some smallmouth flies to fish a local creek. They also recommended an outfitter out east for a float trip down the hiawassee River. I highly recommend that you check out The Hatch for all your fly fishing needs.

Seth is the man. Very knowledgeable - helped me pick out a new 8 wt reel and get some more line on a couple other reels, along with some good looking backing.

Great hometown fly shop to hit before making a trip out west, chasing tarpon in the keys, or exploring some local water.

Hands down favorite fly fishing shop ever. Knowledgeable friendly owner and staff, competitive prices, and despite its smaller size, very well stocked with quality gear.
