Good place for auto parts and oil change

Went in this morning (09/22/23) to get my battery tested and found out it needed to be replaced, I received exceptional customer service from the young man who was working at the time, unfortunately I cannot remember his name but he went above and beyond to make a stressful situation a lot easier to deal with, hopefully he gets the recognition he deserves for his outstanding customer service.

Nikko is an excellent customer and provided the most exceptional service being attentive and offering the hand when we most needed! Thank you!

I've been going to this place for years and staff has always been helpful. Lots of inventory. Staff is also very knowledgeable. Easy access and places to park.

Just visited on 1/11 and had the best customer service I've experienced at an autoparts store. They went out of their way to help me and I will definitely be a return customer.

Patrick Greenaway was the sales associate that helped me. He was friendly, helpful and even educated me on the item I was buying when I wasn't sure what I needed.

Helpful and friendly customer service. They are attentive to customers needs. The parts I ordered were there on time. They have a clean environment. They have public restrooms. They install batteries and windshield wipers for free. Also they provide free diagnostic check and recommend repairs.

Employee was very helpful checking out my car. He tested my battery, starter, and alternator.

I was having issues with my car feeling like it was dragging while driving and almost loosing it's connection while waiting at stop lights. Just a few weeks before I had a new battery installed so I wondered if it was maybe my alternator. I pulled into Advance Auto Parts to see if they could sit in the car and determine what might be the problem. Erik tested my battery and it was low. I didn't have enough juice in it to get me back to the mechanic that originally installed the battery and I didn't want to chance being stuck along a road somewhere in the rain so I contacted my insurance company to get a tow. Well that took about 2 hours longer then they said it would so while I was waiting at the store the employees were not only nice to me but took care of me. Ashley let me borrow her charger to charge my phone; I was obviously having a lot of battery issues that day! Karen got me a chair so I could sit near the charging phone and contact family to keep them updated. And Erik was always there to help me with anything extra I needed. They should all get raises...:-) Thanks again you guys! Your store is my store of choice from now on...even if I have to drive out of my way.

So helpful and so kind hands down. Its the people who make going to this specific store amazing. The hiring managers should get a raise because they pick only the best and do it oh so well.

I came in the FOULEST mood, one of those days where something simple on your car turns into a nightmare; bruised, busted, cut up hands and arms... Dylan was so insanely patient, got me what I needed, and still thanked me for my business despite my surly attitude. I’ve been coming to this location probably 15 years, and it’s because y’all always hire the best people. Dylan is just another example of y’all’s excellent skill for hiring the right people!!!

Great customer service. Zach and Josh were awesome and helpful. They both went above and beyond to help me. Both guy deserves a raise ASAP.

Been in here a couple times. Both times I get asked immediately if I need help. Guy is real nice, offered to look stuff up to make sure. It's just simple in and out trip but I appreciate it.

The guys were very helpful. I needed a new battery, got a great deal and they replaced the old battery with the new one.

Moved son to UCF on Fri. Driving down University at 7:45pm when I noticed the message "Batter Not Charging" appear.

Quick Google Search revealed that it was likely the Alternator - confirmed with family friend who is a mechanic and told me no chance I'd make it back to Tampa.

Tried a Tire's Choice at 8pm, but while still working they said they should have been closed an hour before and no way they could take me.

Pulled into Advance Auto at 8pm - 2 hours later pulled out with new alternator installed and made it back to Tampa.

A few Notes:
- Took me at least twice as long as someone who has changed an alternator before :-D
- Had wife and 4 yr old daughter in truck
- Had mechanic friend walk me through the steps to remove bad alternator - I just reversed to install the new one
- Employee Jason B was Very Helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything needed
- Parking lot lights are on timer and went out at 9:40 (Jason also told us this was likely the case prior to him and the other employee leaving)

I've never really worked on vehicles, but with the right guidance from my mechanic and parts from Advance Auto, was able to save at least a few hundred (couple hundred would have gone to Labor and marked up parts at local repair shop plus hotel costs & food)

They've recently started carrying more import parts. I've never had much hope for local stores having BMW parts, but recently a lot of the wearable items (pulleys, tensioners, etc) they've had in stock. Makes life easier.
