This is a great little gun shop with the best customer service I have experienced in a long time! I would not hesitate to make the 45 minute trip to do business with them again.

There’s so much I didn’t know/understand about firearms and what’s permitted in the state of TN….Mr. Caleb is extremely patient and incredibly resourceful.

Great people! Can't quite stress that enough. Good inventory and products as well. Very knowledgeable about guns and ammo and willing to help you know your stuff inside and out even if they didn't sell you that gun. They have a gun carry class and it is by far the best around. They make it interesting and help you learn everything the whole way through. The gun range here is also very nice, but no large rifles or ammo. I understand that rule 100%.

A friend and I went and took the gun class through hiwassee firearms this past weekend and it was a great experience. Caleb made the 8 hour class fly by with his sense of humor. We learned a lot and he is super helpful when it comes to guns. They let you use their guns and ammo for only $10 and by you dinner. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this company!

Super Nice Friendly and Knowledgeable. This place is now our goto for supplies and practice for our handguns. The range while not fancy is clean and exactly what you need for a great price. Ammo is cheapest around.

I took the handgun carry class 14 years ago and again 09/16/16. The process has only gotten better even with all the different law and requirement changes. Carmen and Doug do an excellent job informing, feeding, and entertaining you for the current required 8 hour course. They are very understanding with people from all experience levels. My kids love to sit with Mrs.Carmen whenever we're at a DU or NWTF event. Doug and Carmen are some good folks that love what they do and do it well. Whether you're a professional or a hesitant novice, this is the class for you.

The class is just the right size with plenty of information and preparation for taking the exam and getting ready to qualify on the targets. The lecture is a cultural bonanza of Southern humor, important facts and serious attention to detail about firearms. There is all the advice you need to improve, or if this is your first time, to understand the basics. The facility is reliable and safety is the top concern. The Fugate's themselves are good folks, and they charge everything fairly. Even after taking the class, you are allowed access to the firing range for a full free day, which is great for building customer service. After finishing the class, you get the certificate and keep your shooting outline (98.2% for me), head to the DMV (where you can wait up to an hour), fingerprinted at another facility, and wait for your license.

This could have been a long day (8-4)but the staff of Fugate's make it interesting as well as comical. They are very upbeat. You can tell they love people and what they do. My wife had not shot a handgun in 20+ years. Fugate's provided a 22 (very little kick) and made her feel so comfort that she scored 100. Great people and an enjoyable experience... Fugate's is the place to go for concealed carry class.

Fantastic Experience! Took my Tennessee CC Class here and Caleb did not disappoint, kept the class up-beat and relevant even for former Law Enforcement. The shop, although small, is packed with great firearms from revolvers and semi-automatic handguns to a great selection of long, shot and speciality guns. I even saw a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 in stock! Watched as one of the owners cared enough to help a first time handgun buyer fit the pistol to her hand properly, going through several sizes and brands to find one that worked for her... not the one he wanted to sell her.
They've become my go-to for shooting & supplies. Thanks Gents!
