Harbor Freight Tools

Moved to eTown a couple weeks before this place opened. SO GLAD they have a harbor freight in town - it's been my go-to place to get tools, tarps, glues, and misc things for my new tool box. Went this past weekend and bought a bunch of items for under 50$.. granted, the wooden push broom I got snapped within 4 pushes with it, but took it back snapped in half with my receipt, and the manager was happy to swap it out and apologized. The workers there were very helpful, this layout feels larger/ wider than the one over in Lancaster, and the coupons you get emailed for being an "inside track member" (30$ a year?) has great freebies and discounts on already cheap stuff.

Recognize the literal size of the building is not as big as a Lowe's or Home Depot, so you're not going to have as wide a selection nor the big name brands of tools if you're looking for that.. or hardware like screws and bolts .. but I'm able to satiate most of my home goods shopping here, for the cheapest around.

I'm glad they are in Elizabethtown. Staff needs work, but they will get better. Great stuff at a good price!

Great place and selection

So I had to sleep on giving this review, but will fully explain why. I purchased a 10 x 17 car pop up garage with the 1 year extended warranty about 4 months ago from the Lancaster Harbor Freight. Mother nature wasnt kind and the recent heavy wet snow caused the canopy to collapse in front and bent some of the bars. I was told when I bought the warranty, I would just have to bring in the bent pole and would be given a new item if the product failed. I ended up going to etown harbor freight, and they told me they could give me a new item but I have to fully return the old item, and I said send someone out to pick it up and the mgr said they dont do that. So I was frustrated and said this is bull****. I ended up driving to the lancaster store, explained the situation, and the cashier said that etown store just opened and they should know better since the lancaster store mgr transferred to etown. The cashier at the lancaster store said since I have extended warranty, I shouldve been given the item. I ended up getting a new item and turning in the bent pole there. The service at Lancaster store is outstanding and they stood behind their product, the service at Etown is garbage and if it werent for the Lancaster store, I would be avoiding HF in the future. That being said, etown store is new, so it couldve been their collective inexperience, but will be a long while, if ever, before I visit the etown store again. Also, for 10 x 17, failing after 4 months is not acceptable, I dont recommend this product.

While the store itself is new and clean and large, the vibration noise from the heating and ventilation system hurt my ears and head to the point I had to leave the store. I will not shop at this location again.
