This boutique is a gem! The clothes and shoes are not only fashionable but also comfy. The staff are so friendly and they were ready to offer support and even act like my best friend, giving me honest advice on the outfits I tried on. I would 100% recommend this place!

Gabby spent her time to make sure we had exactly what we wanted and were completely happy. Strongly recommend the Taos brand shoes. Very comfortable and cute. I arrived in Taos for a wedding only to find that my dress wasn't in my suitcase. These people were very attentive. The store is not cheap, but the have a good inventory of well made, upscale clothing and shoes. I left with more than planned, but I am a pleased and contented customer!

We always take the time to visit Steppin' Out when we're in Taos. From the jewelry, clothes and shoes - It's fabulous! After returning home from my last visit, I decided that I wanted to purchase a pair of sunglasses that I had tried on. I called the shop and described the glasses to a sales associate, Stacey, who then took the time to text me pictures of different pairs of sunglasses and then arrange the payment and shipping for me.
Such great and friendly service. Can't wait to visit them again!

Pricey for Taos but good, wonderful dresses and shoes to die for...wide range of styles to suit different tastes, styles, ages and body types. Always good quality. ...and a sale room!!

It was my first time visiting Toas and I came across this cute boutique! Julie and her staff were so kind and welcoming. They had all sorts of great picks from great brands! I took my time and they were extremely present and helpful - I never felt awkward or pressured to leave. I’m a big girl, and luckily they had so many accommodating shoe and clothing sizes in very nice quality. Muchísimas gracias, desde Ecuador! Gracias por tratarme con tanto cariño. Compre 2 chaquetas de cuero, un par de zapatos, una cartera para mi mamá y un cinturón para mi hermana. Un abrazo y los deseo mucho éxito! Merecido!

I just love this place!!!!!

Just know they have a challenging return policy, which is 3 days for refund and 7 days for store credit. I got store credit and went in last Wednesday to look for something for work. I'm local and as much as possible keep my money local, but when I walked in the owner started following me very closely. It made me feel uncomfortable and a little bit discriminated against. I went upstairs to a place I last saw a cute tweed blazer and she asked one of the associates to essentially be right by side the entire time I shopped. I just kept sending the associate to the dressing room to take my items. I went an hour before they closed but felt rushed by the owner, but the associate was patient. The associate ended up being super cool and friendly. She took me to different garments and took care to try to help me find something near to what I was searching for. The owner harshly corrected the associate twice while I was there and I felt bad about how the employee was treated. I didn't find what I was looking for, (the clothes feel like they're more for older ladies and some are expensive polyester garments) but did get a pair of great Toms sunglasses. When I was leaving, I swear I heard someone ask the person helping me "is that all she got?!" The employees are very helpful here, there are always fun treasures here, but the owner is very rude and did not make me feel welcome. I'll cautiously recommend Stepping Out.
