I have to say- hands down Humbug has the best customer service out there! I just went to purchase my Halloween pirate costume from there and all of the ladies went above and beyond to help me find the right costume, assist me in and out of several costumes, and help me accessorize! They have such a variety of costumes, dance ware, accessories, glam, etc. I can promise that if you go there you will not come out empty handed. I couldn’t thank them enough for all of their help and the great part about it was that they were happy to do so. I will continue to go there for every costume I need! 5 stars all around!

This is a great spot for costumes for specific holidays, and for all ages. Very willing to help you with fitting or choices available. Even between holiday events, and you just want to be, Gangsta, they can help.

My daughter and I had an excellent experience buying tap shoes from Humbug. They were very nice, and we were in and out in no time.

Absolutely love this place and the employees there. Walking in the store I was immediately greeted , & Helped. Found everything I needed within minutes of being there , I was explained all exchanges/return policies before continuing with my purchases. A very satisfied customer & will continue to be for all of my daughter dancing needs !

TOP NOTCH! Stacy and her staff are very accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and great people. The inventory is stylish, fancy and fun. There is something for everyone for all occasions. It is my go to happy place and they NEVER disappoint. If you've never been to Humbug...your missing out!!

Great customer service every time I shop here. Very knowledgeable staff. They remember my face even when it’s been a year since I was last in there. I have bought dance attire, formal wear, and other random items from here. They gave me their honest opinions too when I was trying on dresses. It wasn’t about selling you the most expensive dress there. They genuinely care.

I am an avid native New Orleans costuming customer. Every time I have called or gone in the staff has exceeded my expectations with great customer service, which is very important when you need specific items or are under a time crunch. Their stock, supplies, costume pieces is outstanding. I have purchased corsets, bloomers and more, including several pairs of shoes for 4 mile parade dancing! All high quality, all beautiful. I'm still using all the items after several years. If you need it, go see them!!!! You'll find soooo many fabulous things!!!!

GREAT customer service! Not only did I get help picking out costume pieces, but some of the makeup was demo'd, too. The ladies tending the store were a trite tired from the busy season, but we got there at a good time, and they were all incredibly helpful and friendly. We also got a great deal on a corset!

My 11yr old daughter needed a new flesh toned leotard for her upcoming performance in "The Nutcracker Suite" on Sunday, December 12th. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to get what I needed and head back home within minutes of my arrival. Know that this is the same dance supply store that was across the street from Lakeside Mall but they've relocated to a larger store in Kenner, La.

The staff here is always so kind and friendly. They have a great selection and are very accommodating to different sizes. Everything is good quality. Such a great little place to costume shop at.

We love Humbug! As a business owner myself it is always a pleasure to be able to shop local. I send my customers to Humbug and consider them our studios official dance wear provided. We always have great customer service. When something doesn’t seem up to standard Stacy is ready and willing to help fix the problem.

Humbug is my go to place for dance wear for the kiddos, costumes for adults in all sizes, and cool makeup.

I went yestersya because kiddos cheer coach has determined that a different color is needed every week. I always walk in and get immediate help. The staff is always knowledgeable about sizing and fit. We guessed youngest kiddos sports bra size perfectly. Oldest kiddo was made really happy by the variety of different styles offered. While she hates this weeks color, she was super happy she got to pick a design top.

Upon check out we got a make up demo I guess you can call it. They have some amazing glitter offerings! I'm seriously gonna have to go back and get some! It also removes with just a lint roller! How cool!

In the end. I'm SUPER happy with yesterdays visit. Oldest kiddo is happy in clothes that are her least favorite color because they rocked. Youngest kiddo loved the design of her top. I'm a happy camper.

Second year on a row I found a great Halloween costume at Humbug's. The staff are very helpful and nice. The costumes are a much better quality then the local party stores and are about the same price. Highly recommend this store. Will definitely be going back every year!

Lots of pirate stuff, steam punk, dresses, coats sashes, some women's shoes, circus costumes monster masks, all kinds of accessories, you name it. They also cater to ballet dance stuff for your kids and probably a whole lot more.. More importantly the customer service was top notch they were very friendly and welcoming the entire time. Good to find a place like this outside of Halloween time

Humbug Costumes have some of the greatest people and customer service! They were so attentive to my costume needs and even decided to help throw in some extra ideas to get me closer to my costume goals!! Every time we visit this store, we have so much fun! They always bring in new pieces for us to see! Would I recommend this place?! You better believe it!!

I read reviews about Humbug prior to going there. This place is clean and well lit (unlike some others in the New Orleans area). No dust on costumes here! They have a good selection of clothing/costumes to chose from. The staff is very friendly, helpful (thank you Becca) and really know their stuff when it comes to putting together a costume. I only intended to buy one costume, but ended up buying more than one. I love this place!!!

Update: I have now been with the lights on, and let me tell you, these people are even more amazing with the lights on. This place has amazing stuff for your Mardi Gras costume or outfit!

I have been eyeballing this place for some time now. I came by the Saturday before Halloween to take a look around. There was a bad storm the night before, and the power was out. They let me in, someone followed me with a flashlight to help me see things. I got a quick outfit for Halloween. They were able to make the sale! Very friendly employees. I will be back in the future for all my costume needs!

I came looking for dance tights as I was told this is the place to get the best! It totally is!!! The clerks were very friendly and accommodating!!! I walked out with what I needed and with selections from their own made tights to Capezio! Highly recommend!
