If you’re a Veteran get ready to do a song and dance. Even though CVS doesn’t pay.

Unlike most CVS Pharmacies that are stand alone and the Pharmacy and staff are knowledgeable about the products on the shelves, this Pharmacy sits inside a Target store.

Not a fan of this Pharmacy Manager who believed she could do it all (answer phones, fill scripts, work the drop off and pick-up stations) seemed to enjoy seeing long lines, had a short fuse, always short-staffed and wouldn't accept the CVS phone app barcode; said she knew none of the products that Target sold (medical related), that we needed to find a Target employee to help us.

My wife and I looked into changing our scripts to a newly opened Community Pharmacy that opened a couple miles further away; but they weren't taking our insurance, yet.

HOWEVER, I went the other day, to CVS/Target and there was a female Pharmacist there and one staff person. Both seemed friendly, both had a smile. Only had one person in front of me. They excepted CVS app barcode from the app and I was in and out, quickly.

Before leaving, I asked when "they" worked, so that I could go on those days to avoid their manager. They explained, that she is no longer at this location.

What a pleasant surprise!

CVS PHARMACY. Always shirt staff. A week ago I went to urgent care and they put an antibiotic for me here at this CVS, 3 hours later I went to pick it up, thinking it would be ready by then.... but wasn't ready. I had to wait 30 minutes in the store for them to get my RX ready. Today I went to pick up an antibiotic for an UTI infection. Same thing happened. I don't understand why don't they get the patients medications ready within 3 hours. I think that enough time for them to prepare them and have them ready for pick up. Also, they do not have knowledge about insurances. I was told that certain medication wasn't covered for 18+. Next thing I know, they did package the RX, and it is covered by health insurance, as my mother has been taking it for some time now and always been covered by her insurance. CVS needs to train their staff so they know exactly what to do. A customer that picks up medications is because is feeling ill, the least they want to hear is wrong information or guidance from the staff, and when something is transferred from an urgent care it's because is needed as soon as possible and that patient should start treatment immediately, they do not want to wait 30 minutes in the store walking around waiting for something that was sent electronically 3 hours ago. Hopefully this betters the situation, as I am confident that I am not the only one that this has happened to.
