Fantastic experience every time I got to the store! Employees are knowledgeable and friendly and go the extra mile to help. Shout out the Jackiee who helped me with tons of paint samples. I’m definitely going to return for all of my home painting project.

The store honored an online sale, and got me the new contractor discount before the account was even fully ready. There was also just a real service oriented attitude by everyone I spoke to, a breath of fresh air compared to Home Depot!

Lupe was especially awesome as the day I needed to pickup my order I ran late and she stayed an extra 10 minutes beyond close to get me my paint, and helped me deal with a screaming child as we tried to load the car. Amazing service and just very impressed!

Guadalupe, the sales associate at the Madison Street, Oak Park location is professional, kind, helpful and enthusiastic. It has been a joy to work with her! She was patient as I carefully selected wallpaper, she ordered samples and assisted me with my final purchase. I so appreciate the service and great attention provided :-)

Superior service. Walked into the store while driving down and decided to look at samples. Edward instantly greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. Edward did come by the color walls and helped pick between different colors, even adding some of his personal recommendations (better than my picks). Edward really exhibited great color choices and really knew what he was saying. As Edward was finishing up going over paint finishes, Carlos and Felipe engaged me in an entertaining conversation about my home improvement needs and goals. Made me feel like they care and not that I’m just some sales number.

Walked in unsure as I always deferred to Home Depot, but after this experience, I will not shop elsewhere for paint.

The two friendly employees were helpful in giving me advice about how to deal with peeling trim paint. They guided me to sanding and a priming product as well as the paint for my trim.

I only needed one gallon of exterior house for a small job. I got excellent help selecting the type of paint I needed for the job and advice on how well the paint I selected would cover the existing color. My paint was mixed very quickly. The whole process probably took 15-20 minutes, including my consideration of various colors. The sales person was extremely personable and helpful. And the paint worked very well on my project.

Very helpful and knowledgable staff. So glad to have this store nearby for all those spontaneous and well planned home improvement projects. Our favorite it the paint with low VOC for safe living spaces and the Emerald line.

The quality products and great service that i experienced at the Oak Park store. It is wonderful having this store just a few blocks from my house (literally walking distance) because we have always used Sherwin Williams products and now having a store so close is great!

A Quick Tip for local homeowners nearby looking for the perfect paint color:
Sherwin sells paint test patch quart samples for under $10 each that you can apply in minutes using a foam brush (under $2, each also sold here)*

*Just make sure to choose the right brush size (just small enough to dip into the test patch sample completely). This really makes the entire paint test patch process much cleaner & easier.

As a whole, this is a great Sherwin location on Madison, just make sure to make your paint order an hour ahead of time over the phone so your samples are ready when you arrive!
