The Home Depot

It may be easy to pick on the Home Depot. It’s big, sometimes help is hard to find, an employee may be surly.

I haven’t checked, but I’m guessing the review rating of this place is somewhere around 3. When something bad havens, people are quick to leave feedback. But when it’s good we just carry on with our day.

I really like this Home Depot. The staff is filled with a lot of young people who are quite pleasant and competent. True, it may be hard to find stuff but the place is big. And prices are low; I don’t expect to find contractors working there with 25 years of experience!

I recently rented a truck for 3 hours and 43 minutes. It cost me 80 bucks plus tax. That’s about 20 dollars an hour. That’s great. And the truck drove well, and was in good condition. It was a comfy ride and big. The young man at the rental desk was very nice on a very cold day.

I asked a woman for help solving a problem. She walked me around the store until we found the perfect solution: a roll of insulation. I wish I had gotten her name. Any way, she knew the store and put on her thinking cap until we found just what I needed.

Another young woman helped me find a washer in plumbing. Now it may be easy to dismiss a young Latina with a fancy hair style as not being a competent plumber, but she knew her area that’s for sure.

The tool area in this store is big and the aisles are wide, which I’m not used to at a Home Depot.

This store is around the corner from a nice mall as well.

I get what I need at this Home Depot quickly and at a good price. The shopping experience is good. What more do I need from a store? Nothing.

Thanks, Home Depot! And thanks rental guy and Latina gal and air conditioner insulation gal. You’re a credit to your company. If I find out their names I’ll let the company know that they’re doing well.

I always have such a plesant experince here. The staff is always very helpful and courteous. Got my 12 foot Skeleton in 2022 and purchased the 12 foot inferno pumpkin and 6 posable 5' skeletons with LED eyes this year.

I had an excellent experience in the Tool Rental Dept today. The staff here are super helpful. Rented a stomp grinder (online reservation is very easy and I highly recommend that route to save yourself a lot of time) and they even gave me a mini tutorial on the stomp grinder and sent me on my way. P.S. Make sure you get insurance on the tools you’re renting- don’t play with your money like that. It’s worth the investment.

Went in looking for heater that the app said the store had in stock. I could not find it. I asked Ricardo for help. We walked around and couldn't find it. I gave up and said, forget it I'll pick something else. He kept looking and found it all the way at the top where overstock is kept. He got a ladder and brought it down. Ricardo went above and beyond to help me. This type of person needs to be recognized. Thank you Ricardo!!

Jaden is the best employee they have! She’s very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. She’s very helpful with appliance and carpet orders. The store is mediocre at best. The 5 stars is specifically for Jaden. She should be promoted to manager.

Best store ever! Besides the already incredibly low prices. Veterans an additional 10 % off.

Jonathan and Jose were wonderful! They came to correct the installation of our washer/dryer unit. Very friendly and helpful.

I ordered a lawn mower online for pick up at the store. All was great (people were fantastic) but I do have one warning for veterans -

You can't get your veterans' discount when buying online. You ALWAYS have to remember to ask for it in the store - they do not note it on your account.

I had to do a return on my online purchase, then buy it in the store.
As I said, the cashier & service manager were fantastic, but if I didn't know to ask, I would not have received the discount.

Maybe Home Depot can create a better process. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the discount - thank you!

Been here countless times since purchasing my first house early this year, great selection and keep tons of what I need in stock. Staff is always helpful, seem knowledgeable, and nice, cashier's are always polite! Glad this is close to home and available to me!

Kudos to this Store. Seeing that there are many negative reviews i am on the contrary a satisfied customer. As a manager myself, I try to focus on customer satisfaction. I can say that this store gained a customer just because of the experience. The associated that took care of me were completely professional and made sure i got everything i wanted. After a bad experience from a Home depot on Northlake (North Ave). This store did everything possible to help me. Completed my purchase after the other store stated that it cant be done, and even got it shipped to my house. This store gained a customer! Fantastic job!!!
