PROMBAY - Chicago Prom Dresses

We did a little bit of searching for prom dress stores in the Chicago area and this popped up as the one that was closest to the Quad Cities. We were not disappointed as they had a massive selection of dresses of different colors and sizes. They even have a computer system where they log in which dress you bought and for which prom so they don't sell the same dress to the same prom location.

We've been to other places but Prombay has the absolute best selection! From a Dads stand point.. just go here cause she'll find the one and save yourself a ton of those awkward "you're the only dad here" moments!!

Today we went prom dress 👗 shopping ❤ Figured I would take her to Chicago to look and came across PROMBAY and they did NOT disappoint!!! Amazing experience they give these girls. Very much like the “Say yes to the dress” experience and a TON of variety. Warehouse of every color and style you can imagine. Only downfall is kids are not allowed on the floor so I would say don’t bring any with you. Added bonus they keep track of dress type and color sold to what school, because they will NOT sell a similar dress to same school 🏫 💜🤪 That way no one ends up having same dress. Just thought I’d shoot it out in world 🌎 incase anyones still prom shopping 🛍 OHHHH and I almost forgot it’s sizes 0-28!!! Which leaves it open to girls of alllll sizes!!!! Most dress stores are leaned to one way or other but not here 😌

This place is wonderful there are rolls and rolls of dresses they only sell one dress style and color to a girl so they will not be another girl with the same dress at the same prom so I will say go here early months before prom when we were there there was a girl that was denied because it was someone that purchased it already after school the workers are very kind and helpful we went on a Saturday and it was not do not bring your whole family to this place to help you pick out your dress there is not a lot of sitting they give you only one hour and fitting room so have an idea of what you want get there early or on a weekday last and you may have more time in changing my nice dress was missing some clips and they fixed it for her so check your dress prior to buying

PROMBAY saves the day! My daughter found the most beautiful prom dress only 2 weeks before her dance! I have heard how this store gets super crowded but because we were so late (May 1st!), we had unlimited dressing room time and browsed leisurely through hundreds of dresses that were still available. The best part was the staff who were the sweetest girls! Also a very helpful seamstress. Prombay definitely exceeded my expectations and we enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you!!

This is our second year buying my daughter's prom dress at Prom Bay. Just like last year, their selection is AMAZING and the prices are very fair. The owners are lovely and truly seem thrilled when you find the perfect dress. This year my daughter has two proms and we were able to get two different dresses because the prices are so reasonable. Finally, also wanted to mention that we loved the supportive atmosphere in the dressing room of girls and moms complimenting each other in their dresses and really building each other up! Overall a fantastic experience, thank you!!

We highly recommend Prom Bay. They have dresses in all sizes and a huge selection in each size. We shopped at other stores and they were low on sizes. Dresses are organized by size and then by color which makes selection easier. The dress my daughter purchased had a couple spots with loose beads we noticed at check out and the owner had the seamstress repaire them for us. It looked prefect. Also the staff was so helpful. I struggled to lace up and zip up dresses and they helped me everytime our daughter came out. So grateful for the kind, courteous staff!

I needed a dress for prom and Prom at was perfect. They gave dresses to fit every body type, sizes 0-28!! Once I found my size there were countless styles and options and the prices were more than fair. Each employee is there to help you and it's all about YOU looking like a star. I left with my dream dress. The owner even stayed later to ensure that the sequins were on my dress were 100% secure! They won't sell you a faulty dress and they can fix it for you if you find ANY minor or major "flaws". Bro, they're amazing please go support this ethical business that cares about their customers. I'm happy with where my money went :)

This place is great! They are incredibly organized and the dresses are well-kept and clean. They are hung nicely and their 1 hour, 3 dress max is a good system. We found a dress quickly And the price was good.

My prom is two weeks away so I was kinda rushing to get a dress because I knew I was probably going to need to get it altered since I’m so petite. I found the most gorgeous dress. Almost dresses range from $249-$299 so FYI. It still ended up being a little more expensive than I thought but my dress is perfect and the staff was nice. There’s an insane variety of colors and styles so go at it.

I was a little skeptical that a place like this could possibly exist!! The store is massive, it is truly a warehouse of dresses. Everything is sorted out by color and size which makes it super easy to find what you're looking for. When you arrive, you're asked to register at these computers, which is a common thing to do at most places. Then you're given a name tag and allowed to roam the whole store. You're only allowed 3 dresses at a time which is very reasonable. The owners of this place are so sweet and genuine. My only complaint is that the associates could have been a little more friendlier. However my experience was good and I left with a stunning gown for a VERY affordable price!

We had an incredible experience! My daughter found a dress she loved. Prombay had many dresses we could choose from. Iris was incredibly helpful.

With three daughters very close in age, PROMBAY has been my go-to for ALL of our prom needs for the past 4 years! They have the best selection & customer service HANDS DOWN! Absolutely love, love, love the owners!!! Stop in, you won't be disappointed!

Lots of dresses & very reasonable in price. My only complaint was that I had my grandchild with me & wasn't able to carry him a papoose we had to take turns sitting in the lounge.

The dresses are beautiful. They are very helpful, my daughter was able to find her dress. Prices are reasonable as well

Love this store I got my prom dress here they have the best selection there is something perfect for everyone. The service was amazing and everyone was very nice and honest when helping with dresses.

Many beautiful dresses. Make an appointment soon though. They won't sell the same color/same style dress to anyone in the same school.

I went on the first weekend that it was open for the season. The selection is great and is organized by color which is nice for my OCD. The staff is super helpful and are always on their game, ready to lace you up. I definitely recommend this store.
