Food Lion

This is my go to every time for them, cheap prices, and live entertainment of the junkies of Myrtle Beach depending on what location you go to. Of course Socastee is my favorite for watching junkies that leave needles everywhere in the bathroom and they keep their employees no matter what you do you can be on a leave of absence for mental health for years and still be employed. By this place you can lie to this place And say whatever you want to get on a leave of absence and they pay you sometimes for these leave of absences, of course and they allow their employees to abuse the heck out of the system for literally 13 years until no call no show because employees don’t like it when they’re paychecks are taken from them because they don’t go to work at all For 9 to 10 months and have health insurance and just expect it to be free because this certain employee doesn’t know how to be an adult he just lies and cons his way through life. They like to employee people like that this company employees terrible people. Great place to shop, but terrible at who the employee I mean they have employees who bust glass windows out of Socastee meat room by punching them, and the employees will lie and say they know nothing about it because there’s no cameras back there to see it oh, God, the things I know about the Socastee location and a former employee now of over 13 years, but definitely not at this location because he could not last at a location for more than a couple of months they would get rid of him fast because he is mentally unstable and clinically insane they love to hire people like that they will even keep you if you beat up other employees and their wives they keep you if you beat your wife up to they don’t care about anything they let you do drugs all of it they never drug test if you’re looking for a job come here too that’s how great this company is you can do anything in life and get away with it and still have a job after screwing this company over for over 13 years oh Jesus, my husband taught me way too much about this place

Well stocked and clean, friendly cashiers and the ladies in the deli are great as well.

I would give all 10 starts ⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟if I could . I go to this Food lion ever since I moved to the area 7 years ago and always have the best service and great experience . The produce is always fresh and available, employees are very friendly and polite, it’s neat, clean and well organized. Prices are good as well.

I have shopped at Food Lions all over the Carolinas and this store is by far the best. I appreciate the fact that the manager is always visablly helping staff in some capacity. Every interaction I've seen has been super respectful towards employees from various managers. It shows because, well known fact, employees will work twice as hard for a boss that treats them with respect vs. a boss that yells and barks orders while sitting on their butts. I stopped in today and the store looked amazing! Stocked and clean as always! I just have to give an extra shout out to Conner in the deli today! I have never gotten anything from the hot bar because to be honest it never looked that great to me, but today it was irresistible! The wings were some of the best I've had in a long long time! Memphis hot was definitely what's up! Conner had that bar on point! My cashier when I checked out was a very nice young man as well. His line was moving very efficient and he was very friendly and personable with everyone. I didn't catch his name but on my receipt his cashier number was 0218. Thanks to all the staff that puts in such hard work to make this my favorite store!!

I love shopping in the store except for the fact that this one woman that works there. She literally told me I wasn't allowed to shop in the store anymore it was throwing me out. I guess she's unaware of that it's against the law to do so? Other than that this story is great for bargains. The food is very very good. And they always have enough in stock.

Always clean. Prices are just as good as anywhere else. During this economic problems. One thing they do that no other grocery store does. Well at least I haven't seen it. Every single register was open and moving shoppers through faster. ...

Considering several local Food Lions have closed, love our local grocery store. Amazing pricing, staff is awesome and selection is awesome!

This Food Lion is one of the nicest I have ever been in. It's clean, isles are wide & free of clutter. Lots of ready to eat items to choose from in the deli area. Big Plus!!!

I love my Food Lion store on Belle Terre Blvd. and all the employees. Everyone knows me and most call me by name. Very friendly, clean and convenient.

Because of the coronavirus, the shelves were mostly empty, and the associates were overwhelmed with trying to keep the items that are strongly sought after available. The stores shelves remind me of when hurricanes are coming.
Update:
The shelves are well stocked, even with items that I can't find anywhere else. Employees are friendly and professional. Great shopping trip.

Fabulous looking produce, awesome customer service! I spoke with Ms Shirley who told me how good the fresh corn on the cob they had 5/$1 was going to be when I cooked it, and WOW how RIGHT she was! Those are the types of workers who make you feel at home even just meeting them! I'll be back to this location often because of her amazing customer service! See you soon Ms Shirley!

I love that they have a fresh fish counter. Also I've dealt with customer service and that has been considered above and beyond. Just don't use self checkout because I feel that is lacking. I hate to give a bad review because other than self-checkout the service has been great.

Always love coming here. Often end up having a great chat with the clerks. And save a bundle with the VIP card!

I'm giving this 5 stars because 99% of the times we go in to shop, everything is great. The products are fresh and the employees are friendly. However the past 2 times we've had Aly as a cashier, she just doesn't fit the mold of the rest of your staff. She has zero personality, I will try to be friendly to invoke even a single word from her and she says nothing besides the total I owe. Not even to have a good day. I'm not sure if she is just miserable with her job or she needs training on how to have any sort of customer service, but I will intentionally avoid her aisle from here on out.

Good prices and usually a variety of sales items. Better prices than Wal-Mart and less hassle. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only complaint is they need to teach some of the employees what should and shouldn't go in bag together "no cans or heavy items with bread" aside from that 5/5 stars for this store

Nice grocery store. It's always clean; never has Orange safety triangles in the floor. The produce is fresh and very well "groomed". They have a wonderful selection, and always have my favorite flavor of Ben and Jerry's in stock. Love this store!!

Fabulous people. Angie & Jen pulled my order to go and helped me to my car. This service is invaluable to me as I am recovering from surgery and limited for months. I am grateful I have such professional and kind ppl at our neighborhood store.
