It's really worth it! It is beautiful to see the unusual formation the houses are built in. They have some bars and refreshments around.
Just go and get lost walking around the narrow streets.

Stone paved narrow streets are fabulous along with old styled houses. The roofs are different and every house has multiple windows. Bridges connect both sides of the city. Multiple viewpoints entice you to spend more time.

Great old town of Ohrid is nice to walk, with some hills but not really big, so most of the people would probably be able to do it. Nice buildings and lots of places close to the lake to stop and enjoy the views, and also have a swim or refresh yourself.

it's called the city of a thousand windows and we stopped in one of these beautiful houses for our holiday, in the heart of the historic center, Guest House Semani was just what we were looking for, a very rustic but well-renovated house and they were still doing work for a while restaurant. breakfast always with bio products. the view is beautiful over the whole city. to get up in the morning and see this landscape was truly a dream

Definitely worth visiting. The city has a bunch of stunning views and offers restaurants with delicious food. Besides, the visitors should climb Berat Castle which is a great place with rich history and unique architecture.

Old medieval town incrusted in a mountainous valley, with a beautiful river cutting across. This is a must stop if you're traveling within Albania. With a beautiful castle at the top of the hill and it's straight cobble stone roads, it a look back in time and mix of beautiful cultures.

Berat is often referred to as the “town of a thousand windows” due to the many large windows that adorn the historic homes of the old town and actually this is true.

During our trip from Holland to Turkey, we have decided to visit Albania too. This was for us a chance to visit Berat too. Despite the fact that is was extremely hot during our visit (42+ Celcius), it was worthwhile!

It was so soo beautiful. I loved everything. Not so touristy so it felt very authentic. I understand why Berat is an unesco place.

We visited Berat in the beginning of May. It's really gorgeous, cosy and super snug town. One day is enough for exploring, strolling in old Town and climbing to the Berat tower (you can also drive, 1 km from the river shore). Interesting place, highly recommend to visit!

This is the most beautiful UNESCO heritage town I have ever seen.
Beautiful as it looks, the tiny lanes of this town are very mesmerizing.
We stopped by for a lunch bite and then took a walk around the town.

Historical balkan houses in albania. These historical houses in the city of Berat are still in their original form from the date they were built. The historical structure and culture of the city is the same as on the first day. A must see.
