Bovilla restorant

Restaurant with spectacular view and really kind guys doing their best with local products. We had a great beef, very nice local wine and also plate full of traditional meals. All perfect, delicious

Surprisingly nice restaurant with a beautiful view to the mountains and the lake. The food was special and rich (you must try the lamb & goat ribs with the paprika cottage cheese). Service was also very nice. Absolutely recommended.

Stunning views. Tried Lamb casserole and it was very good. Beers and coffee are also delicious.

Get ready to be surprised because the only restaurant in the area is excellent!!! Make sure to get one of the melted cheese dishes because it was the best I had in Albania , not to mention the incredible views! Glasses of wine are about $2 and the staff is friendly and attentive, a must try after your hike!

The restaurant is super modern, which you definitely wouldn't expect up on the mountain. The food was delicious and the prices fair. The owner is friendly and accommodating. The view from the restaurant is fantastic! The only downside is the very long drive over a more or less well paved road - I recommend an SUV.

Absolutely beautiful. You can hike or drive up to the restaurant for a stunning view as well as fantastic food and service. There is also a walk up to an additional viewing platform on the mountain. The restaurant, cabins and viewing platform are modern and tastefully done. It is all family owned in partnership with the local village community. Food was excellent - have the mixed starters (we had these as a side to grilled meats), best food we have had in Albania! Good selection of wines. Incredible ice coffees as well. Service was homely, warm and heartfelt. And they have a chess board to while away the hours whilst taking in the view. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was very comfortable with air con, WiFi, smart tv etc. The road is part dirt track and part paved, we were fine in a hire car (Peugeot 2008 SUV). There are some photos of the road on google maps that people have added as “street photos” pin drops.

We reached very late at the lodge at bovilla restaurant because we took a wrong turn. The guy there waited for us even though it was very late and also cooked dinner for us. It was raining and he helped with parking the car too. Overall very nice experience. Lake was awesome and hike too was great. Recommend their food and breakfast.

this is one of the best located restaurants that i’ve been in my life - the view is gorgeous and gives you feeling like ‚bring me a bottle of water’ because you’re not able to eat as your jaw is on the floor ! but if you decide - go for fries - can’t believe how good such simple thing might be - i didn’t even take a pic, they disappeared so fast !

Everything was perfect. The food, the cooking, the taste, were worth even for the price they had. I want to emphasize that the bread was very tasty and so was the meat. With a fantastic environment and a unique view with clean air. I really liked that they also brought us spring water, not in cans, this is an added value.

Wonderful view! Caserole was very tasty, great value. Thanks again to the staff for going above and beyond and helping me with fuel! The road there is very challenging.

It was worth driving the steep mountain roads!

Apart from the location and view of the restaurant, food is a top one. A very good quality-price ratio, the road to that deserves every landscape and every taste offered by the restaurant. “Jos pălăria” for the restaurant and the managers!

You can take a small hike in the mountain for 100 Lek, it’s a very nice place with an awesome view.

We hiked and wild camped for three days to reach restaurant Bovilla as our final destination, the landscape and views were stunning. Arriving at the restaurant after walking up the 2km switchback access road in 35° heat we were ready for a cold beer and something to eat. We found all of the staff to be friendly and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations. Dining and drinking cold beer in such a stunning location is something we will never forget, and is well worth visiting on a day (by car) trip from Tirana. Thank you Restaurant Bovilla 👍

Amazing food and service just by lake bovilla. The food is great and very reasonably priced considering it is the only restaurant at that location.

This restaurant is amazing! The meat is from a nearby village and everything we’ve ordered tasted delicious. I can recommend the lamb ribs and the chopped beef. The staff is very kind as well. And last but definitely not least: the view from the restaurant is stunning, in the middle of the mountains with a view on the lake. It’s definitely worth the trip.

Very good restaurant with local food and beverages delicious! From its window you can admire One of best views on high mountains i have seen. Definitely worth to "suffer" 15 minutes light climb to nearby view balcony to have chance to see view from almost highest top of surrounding mountains!
