Gorgeous church with some impressive ruins and mosaics. In use right now and the chanting inside the church could be described as divine.

Fairly easy to walk to, and a great historical area that's being rebuilt and renovated.

An archeological site with the monastery, there is still work going on and more interesting artefacts being found. There are very well preserved mosaics that you can see which have been left in situ to view and admire. Worth visiting.

Plaoshnik is known as a religious site since the beginning of Christianity, and probably before. There are found several major early Christian basilicas, and the remains of the church of St. Panteleimon.
The church was built by St. Clement in 893 year on the foundation of the early Christian basilica, and dedicated to St. Panteleimon. It was here where the Ohrid Literary School, a center of Slavonic literary and cultural activity, was found and were educated more than 3,500 disciples. St. Clement was buried in this monastery, in the tomb which was built by his hands.
Church of St. Panteleimon was revised several times until the 15th century, when was converted by the Ottoman Turks into a mosque, known as the Imaret Mosque, of which only a small enclosure remains.
Full reconstruction of the church began on December 8, 2000 and was completed on August 10, 2002. Most of the relics of Saint Clement were returned to the church.
