Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn Albury

Wow! This place is nothing short of 5 star in amenities and customer service!! With a fabulous pool that keeps you cool all day and a hot spa and sauna to make for a perfect night of relaxation. I have stayed in many places in Albury but this is now my official favourite. Happy hour hosted incredible cocktails before a spectacular steak (I’m very fussy with my steak) cooked exactly how I love it - BLUE - yummy 🥩 we still have 2 more days and I can not wait to get back to my massive room to sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down.

I recently had the opportunity to stay here with my teenage daughter as we headed back to Queensland and overall, my experience was quite positive. One of the standout features of our stay was the room itself. It was incredibly spacious, and the inclusion of both a king and queen bed was a generous touch. The decor was tasteful, and everything was spotlessly clean. It felt like a home away from home, ensuring a good night's sleep and a pleasant environment to unwind in after a day out.

However, there was only one minor inconvenience. It was the lift access in Building 2. The swipe card system was a tad finicky, requiring a very specific placement to register and grant access. Initially, this caused a bit of frustration, but with some trial and error, I was able to figure out the sweet spot. It might be worth the hotel looking into this issue to ensure a smoother experience for future guests.

In conclusion, while no stay is without its quirks, the positives significantly outweighed the minor hiccup. The comfort and cleanliness of the room were commendable. I would definitely consider returning and recommend it to fellow travelers, with the small note to be patient with the lift in Building 2.

Exactly what we wanted. Everything is really nice. Shower is a bit on the weak side, but that's super minor (and maybe I'm just a water hog 😅). Thanks for a beautiful place to stay!

The Hovell Tree Inn was in a great and handy location for what I was doing.
My room was big, had everything in it that I wanted. I thought the layout of the room was excellent.

A quick weekday stopover for a trip from Brisbane to Melbourne. Rooms are very spacious, the premises are easy to access and locate. Service station across the road for incidentals. Air conditioning and fridge all worked exceptionally well. We arrived quite late at 10:30pm from a phone booking earlier in the day during out travel and reception was still open which was awesome. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Would recommend a visit if you are travelling in the area.

Fantastic accommodation. I had the best nights sleep in a long time. The bed, pillow and doona were so comfortable, which is rare in most accommodation. I should have asked where they got there bedding and mattress from it was that good. Highly recommend this place.

This hotel was just fantastic. Such friendly staff, great amenities and access from the car park. The rooms were exceptionally clean and modern with a very comfortable bed. The restaurant and bar/lounge area were really lovely as was the gym, pool, spa and sauna facilities. Easy walk into the town centre. Highly recommend 😊

Had a lovely stay in Albury. Room was great (2 bed apartment) and perfect for our needs. Restaurant was nice with great service. Clean comfy beds. Central location. Everything was perfect.

We stayed at Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn Albury during Easter 2023. Our experience was enjoyable and positive. So much so, that we would like to stay there again when in Albury next.

We checked in on Good Friday. It was seamless and Lara was very courteous and polite. Note to Lara, Geelong FC plays AFL and not cricket 😂.

The room (#46) blew us away. It was the largest hotel room we have ever stayed at. It was clean and airy. The bathroom was super clean too. Housekeeping team had left all the usual items in place for us to use. The beds were comfortable. The only minor issue we had is the door stopper which is placed in the middle of the floor. My wife stubbed her toe on the stopper which was not pleasant.

We had dinner at the Bar & Grill on Saturday night. The service was fantastic. The ambiance was really good. The food was also great. We had a small issue which was fixed quick smart and at no cost to us. Now that is what I call service.

The location is brilliant. Across the road from the great Murray River and the Botanical Garden, the hotel is also a short easy walk to the town centre (for shopping and other eateries). I highly recommend BBB Bakery (1 minute walk, next to the Ampol servo) and Nord Bakery (about 10 minute walk in Ebden St) as places to visit. Great pastries and coffee at both places.

Overall, our family enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn Albury and as mentioned above, we will most definitely stay there again. And I will whole heartedly recommend to anyone wishing to spend a relaxing and comfortable stay in Albury.

We stayed at the Best Western for 1 night whilst driving through, the rooms were clean, fresh & modern with everything you need for a short stay. The pool & spa area were lovely, perfectly located with lots of sunshine. We had dinner at the restaurant, our meals were delicious & the service was great! Our only complaint is the random ringing noise that went off every 10 to 20 minutes throughout the night which kept us awake, couldn’t pinpoint where it was covering from!?! Apart from that - a perfect stay!

Great place. Room was a nice size and everything is comfortable. The bed is amazing and had a great sleep. The chairs on the balcony are brilliant - a good size so that you could sit and relax and not feel squashed. Breakfast was delicious and filling. All staff were pleasant, friendly and happy to offer suggestions on where to visit. Had heaps of facilities although we didn't use as limited time. Will definitely come back and stay longer.

One of the best hotels we've stayed at. The Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean. The room service was great as was the size of the breakfast servings. Disabled parking available close to lift. Rooms were quiet.

The comfiest beds! We had a family room with queen bed & 2 single beds & they were all super comfy. We slept soundly. The room was super spacious with a table. Good smart TV too. Thank you for making our overnight stay restful.

Wonderful staff who bent over backwards to make stay for 3 nights the best it could be from breakfast orders to dining room bookings. Comfortable bed and room, excellent facilities including restaurant, gymn and swimming pool and close to Albury shops, botanical gardens and river. Enjoyed a fabulous dinner with family in their top restaurant. Definitely would stay there again.

Exceeded expectations! When the staff tell you how proud they are to work somewhere, it shows in everything they do an echo's across the property.

The rooms were really spacious and super clean (as was the pool and the gym) the cleaners and maintenance staff are onto and really looking after the place.

It wasn't upety at all, but honest and comfortable and staff were courteous and attentive. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here next time I'm passing through. There is nothing I can think of that they could do better to improve the place.

We had a wonderful stay at Best Western Plus Hovell. Unfortunately it was for only one night. This was our fist overnight stay since April because of COVID and we would highly recommend this place. From the moment we stepped inside the door till we left the next morning everything was perfect. The food in the restaurant was very nice & our room exceptional especially the bed. It was soft & comfortable. Everything was clean & tidy. The one negative was that there was no breakfast.
We would stay there again.
