Arthur River Take Away

Loved the drive to Gordon Dam, and the dam wall was fantastic!
Hubby did the walk down all those steps and across the dam wall. He thoroughly enjoyed it!!
I had to stay back to take the pics!! Haha
Highly recommend the trip out to the Dam.

The drive to Arther River is scenic and pleasant. There is lots of twisty road on the inland route.
We had fish and chips, which was very good, especially the chips.
Grab lunch and head down the road to the edge of the world lookout and enjoy the view while you enjoy your lunch.

The local caught flake. My god. That’s the best battered flake I’ve ever had. I’m not sure how it fitted on the fryer. Temp was taken to ensure it was cooked all the way through. Well done!

Homemade pies are really really good. What's even better? The chips. Best I've had in Tasmania hands down. This little shop managed to make the best chips in the state.

Came for a quick ice-cream, took one look at the fish they were frying and ordered one. You'd be hard pressed to find a better piece of fish in a well established city restaurant.

Amazing. Now I'm seeing they had home-made pies, and I'm sad I was only stopping through.

Stopped here for something to eat for lunch. Was pleasantly surprised by the absolutely delicious home made chicken and veg pie!! Huge and scrumptious!! The chips were amazing too!! Best I've had in a long time!! Kids were happy with their ham and cheese toasties. Thanks so much for the delicious food!!

Neat little joint, has what you need for a trip stock up. Great fries with chicken salt and gravy, reasonable prices and lovely lady that served us.

dropped in for takeaway lunch while touring through today, got 4x burgers and chips it was excellent. super friendly staff and good food, nice neat little kitchen.

If your ever passing through call in and get a curried scallop and potato ( home made ) pie. Without a doubt the best in tassie that ive tasted so far. Super friendly service. Pies made on the premises.

Tasty takeaway joint. Very dangerous that it's so close to the camp ground because if you're camping hard to not go every day!! The chips and gravy were some of the best we reckon we'd had (could be the camping talking but I reckon they were pretty incredible). Cold drinks also available. One table outside you can sit at to wait.

Good fresh burgers and chips on offer. Nothing else around unless you are self catering or going back to Marrawah.

Terrific little takeaway place in a really remote area. The burger I had was fantastic and good value. Service was friendly. We took our food and ate it looking over the ocean at the Edge of the World.
