Visiting Apparition Hill in Medjugorje was an experience that left a profound impact on me, one that I feel compelled to share. The path leading up to the hill is lined with rocks and wooden crosses, guiding pilgrims on their reflective journey towards the site where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to six local children in 1981.

My visit to Apparition Hill was not just a physical journey, but a spiritual odyssey that offered moments of introspection and a deeper connection to something beyond the everyday. This is a spiritual place, and if you are reasonably fit you should be able to get there. It is important to have strong pair of shoes. As always the descent can be potentially dangerous and a high level of caution is required.

This is a beautiful place of prayer. The climb is only suitable for the able bodied (there were lots of people using hiking poles and walking sticks to steady themselves, people of all ages and abilities) and the Cinacolo community nearby do offer to carry people up and back down.

It is a spiritually powerful place to visit!!

The serenity of the place is awesome! The peace and calm of the apparition hill is soul warming...the fragrance of roses is strong there...

It is a lovely spot for a short hike. Many people travel here as a pilgrimage site. Not a lot of info there so do your research ahead of time. The hike to the site of the apparition is very rocky. The stones have been worn shiny by thousands of visitors. Even so, there isn't a distinct path and navigating the jagged rocks takes time.
No purchase necessary to access the hill. There's also free parking at a nearby dirt lot.

It was my first time being in Bosnia Hergizova, I went there with John Walsh Pilgrim Tour. I paid £750 for 8 days spiritual holiday. Our group leader Milka is an awesome and she is an amazing lady. The hotel was Dubrovnik hotel, it is a clean hotel. The church is 2 minutes walk away. The Risen Christ is also 5 minutes walk away. Viktore restaurant is just opposite of the church and they do amazing food. Reaching out to Apparition hill is extremely challenging, it is a very peaceful place, it is worth showing your love for Mother Mary. You definitely feel Mother Mary's presence when you reach to the top of the hill. I felt that she is watching over all of us & every single one of us😍😍😍I lovveee her so muchhhh, she is my energetic sugar grandmother in Heaven 11😁👍👼🏼💙💎🖤she is also here in this Hologram we all are living in. I am so happy I managed to find her. The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly, the food was very tasty and they are very generous with the portions. I was so fortunate to be able to meet Ivan from the visionary children Mother Mary has chosen to deliver her messages. Imma & I were invited to the visionary arrangement meeting. Mother I believe Mary wanted to see us while we were in Bosnia Herzegovina on her birthday. I felt so special.☺We also attended a meeting with the lovely priest gentlemen, he also said a pendant will be given to all of us, it has God Jesus & Mother Mary on it. I believe in their power, I love them both. ☺I definitely recommend visiting Bosnia Hergizova. I definitely recommend taking the challenge, I did visit Bosnia Hergizova, I took the challenge, I showed my gratitude and love to Mother Mary and God Jesus. I am so happy.

One of the most holy and spiritual places in the world. I've come here twice now. Each time has been food for my soul and faith as a Croatian Catholic. More recently, I made the arduous journey up the hill late at night which is very dangerous both up hill as well, if not more, as down hill. Once at the apparition site, it was beautifully silent. Amazing quiet which presented an atmosphere rife for prayer and reflection. If you get a chance to visit this holy place, please do. Take your time with the journey up and down. Allow yourself some time for prayer and reflection once you reach the site. Understand where you are. Understand what you are a part of and what you are witnessing.

Holy place it is: Medjugorje. This is a piece of Heaven on Earth. Mother of Jesus, Mary is inviting us all to feel this powerful feeling so that we can feel truel peace in our hearts. Jesus, please guide us, Mary please pray fur us 🙏 You, who is reading now, the only thing Mary is asking us is an open heart visiting Medjugorje. Let us pray the Rosary every day to be in connection with Jesus, with God and the holy spirit. God bless you who is reading this now.

It is the Apparition Hill and it is a small one. It is common where one can recite Rosary and climb the hill. It is not quite difficult and the walking paths are ok.

The Assumption of Our Lady Hill was undiscribable, very personal experience. It totaly depend on what you feel inside. Beautiful and almost empty by the end of March. Place to stay and pray!! Will return!!

We experienced Apparition Hill on the 42nd anniversary with pilgrims from 34 countries. Incredible experience!

there are 2 ways to get there. we chose the steep one and it wasn't that bad. took us less than 10min to get there.

Truly such a heavenly experience on earth. Our blessed mother was with us each step of the way.

It's a long and rough climb. Many large rough stones along the way. Very challenging terrain.

On pilgrimage to Medjugorje, this has got to be on your To Do list. On this barren hill, pray and meditate along the way. At the top of the hill, stay a little while at foot of the Crucifix and gaze for a little while into the smiling face of Our Lady of Medjugorje.

Peaceful place. We went on winter time when there's really not a lot of people. It was the best choice.
However, rocky road to make it to the top of the hill. Takes 20min on a slow pace.

Starting out at the Hotel Toni, in Medjugorje, the group I was with began our hike early in the morning with Apparition Hill being our destination. We were greeted by beautiful countryside along the way. We walked by several vineyards and a few houses. We encountered some fruit stands and souvenir stores along the way. Before long we came upon the village of Bijakovici, which is at the base of Apparition Hill. It starts to get steeper here. Also at the bottom of the hill are the blue crosses marking where Our Lady has appeared to the children after first appearing on top of the hill. Making our way up the rocky trail, bronze images of the mysteries of the Rosary are good places to rest and reflect. It takes less than an hour to get to the top. The hike up the hill is not easy, but it is not hard either. The statue of Our Lady where she appeared to the children in 1981 is breathtaking. I observed a woman being brought up in a stretcher by two men because she could not do it on her own and was not denied the experience.

Special and peaceful with many blessings to be had if one is willing to take them

Best experience of my life, god willing I will go back. This is Saint place, people with faith should experience it. I cannot describe how blessed I am. My mind and soul still in Medjugorje for sure something has changed on me. I was called and thank god that I was able to go.

Amazing energy, people from all over the world visit to pilgrimage to the top. Many people accompanied by their parish priest, and from all age groups. Rocky terrain and a slow climb required as it's easy to loose footing.
