We highly recommend Horse riding with Butch for beginners as well as for experienced riders. This was perfect way to get to know Borovetz surroundings. We had 2 trips (4-5 hours daily) and enjoyed every minute of them. Lili and Emil were great and made sure we had everything we need.
We recommend taking at least one trip with picnic 😋.

Firstly we were introduced to our horses and then carefully explained how to get on and off step by step. We were also taught and shown the basics of how to control them. Not long after we departed the instructor let our horses loose (with our agreement ofcourse) so that we can attempt what we had just learned. We crossed small streams, icy and snowy roads, uphill and downhill terrain. Most of the trip consisted of walking but once we felt comfortable and stable enough we had our go at short trots. The horses were extremely calm and patient despite their inexperienced rookie riders. The route we took offered deer and other wildlife sightings. Would go again, I highly recommend!

This is the most wonderful place! We felt so welcome, got realy worthful instructions and lessons and we made BEAUTIFUL rides in the forrests and mountain hills. These four people felt like family. They gave us the inspiring experience of love for horse riding. They gave us happy memories to remember forever. We’ll definitely come back!

If you are searching for a way to connect with nature, this is the place to do it - it is magical. The staff is very hospitable, charming and friendly. The horses are very well trained, fairytale-like with unique names and each horse has its own personality.

I had a hour riding, if I could make it earlier I would make it 2-3 hours, so good it was!
Vasya was very nice, and also his wife responded to my messages on Facebook very fast, that's how I could make it on my last day there (couldn't call from my phone)

Fantastic experience this morning, 2 hours riding through the forests with our wonderful guide on amazing horses. From start to finish it was the best time, friendly greeting when we arrived, gorgeous well fed, well groomed, well behaved horses, first class saddles and bridles, if I could go back and do it again tomorrow I would. Would definitely recommend to all, beginners to more experienced.

This is the place to learn how to ride! The instructors are very kind and dedicated, they care about the animals! Riding with them is an amazing experience!

Very nice tour for a first timer! I've never ridden before but Butch is a nice guy although he does not speak that much English.

He went with us for a 30 minute long ride which was more like 45 minutes through the forest with some very likeable and calm horses.

The half an hour ride is 20 Leva per person.

The Bulgarian guy at the shop was trying his best to explain things in broken English, and my friend and I were doing our best to understand.

But let's talk about the price. I paid 200 Lev for this horse. That's about £90, give or take. I mean, sure, it's a great deal if you're looking to own a horse for a whopping 25 minutes. Talk about getting your money's worth. In the end, I had to take it back to the random point on the road where I first picked him up(not the stable). When I tried to return the horse, the shopkeeper looked at me like I had just recited Shakespeare in Martian. I guess the locals were quite entertained by our little circus act. Either that or, they had been desperately trying to get rid of this horse named Psycho for ages.
But hold your horses, there's more. Turns out, the horse wasn't even from a legit stable. Nope, it was a counterfeit horse operation going on. Two guys in a horse costume, I assume. I guess they realised the horse couldn't handle more than 25 minutes of fame. Smart move.
In the world of horse shopping, it's all about the unexpected surprises. And hey, who knows, you might just end up with your own Psycho. And by that, I mean a horse, not a psychological thriller. It's an adventure you won't regret!

So, would I recommend this horse shop? Well, if you're into spontaneous horse ownership and have a penchant for misadventures, go for it. Just be prepared for the unexpected and don't count on returning what you thought was a rental.

Probably the best experience money can buy in Borovets, when there is no snow... maybe even then... it is both sporty and educating, and enjoyable for kids and adults as well. Also your riding level does not matter: they can accommodate beginners and more advanced guests too. Very friendly and pleasant folks too!

Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and kind people! We took a very scenic route that looked picturesque during the November drizzle. The horses were gentle, calm, and really responsive to their riders. Looking forward to coming back soon! ❤

We went riding with Butch on the last morning of our ski holiday. It was absolutely lovely trundling through the fir trees in the crisp snow. We saw two deer and the remnants from a Woodpeckers morning hunt for grubs. The horses are very looked after and Butch has gorgeous dogs and cats who are all very friendly. Highly recommend.

This place was great. I went with my wife and my two daughters ages 6 and 8. They made us feel welcome and comfortable with the horses. We did a 30 minute ride on the horses through Borovets and it was amazing. My 6 year old had her own pony and the 8 year old was on a full size horse. They had their horses tied to the guide horse so they were secured. It was great. We fully recommend to use this place.

Beautiful trail, calm horses suitable for beginners. The people were friendly. Had a great time
