Thomson Memorial Park

The park is huge and has plenty of amenities, including (but not limited to) a museum. At the eastern end of the park there's a hike path that will take you all the way to Markham Road through the woods.

A very nice park which includes a playground for the little one (looks quite recent) with a sandbox and a splash pad.
For the grown up there is an exercise area that I haven't tried but looks nice.
Various trails with trees and opportunities to cycle around.
There is a free parking although it tends to get busy on weekends.

What an amazing place to relax after a long work day. You can walk with your family, play or have a small picnic out there as they have designated areas for that. Bike/ walk trail. Unleashed play are for different size of dogs. Water/splash play area for children. Few exercises equipment to stretch your body and amazing open play area. Ample parking space and multiple sitting and relaxing zones. To get a small break from work and relax in between of trees, must visit!

Thomson Park in Scarborough is a great destination for families, and it was the perfect location for Aahil's birthday celebration. The park offers a variety of recreational activities, including playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic areas. The children at the party had a great time exploring the park, playing games, and running around.

One of the highlights of the party was definitely the food. The beef bhuna from Chadnis was a standout dish, with its rich and flavorful sauce and tender meat. Everyone enjoyed the food, and it was clear that a lot of care had gone into preparing it.

Overall, Thomson Park provided a fun and memorable setting for the birthday party, and the food was a major highlight of the event. I would highly recommend this park to families looking for a great place to spend a day outside, or to anyone looking to host a fun and enjoyable celebration.

This park is quite close to the residential area which allows them to hit out for a quick walk in the nature. I took a stroll around the complete length of the park, though it was winter and pretty cold outside. It was such a pleasant experience😍❤ This is place would give a calmness to mind when you stroll around during any season. If you stay around this area during your trip. This is a must visit place for a stroll. May be some barbecue and picnic during the other seasons.

Nice park with trails / water playground and normal playground. Parking is big but still have a hard time looking for a spot. Weekend super crazy busy with many people BBQ/ Birthday parties or just chilling.

This is one of the best dog park near where I live! I started to take my dog here since when he was puppy. He always play well with other dogs in the small dog park.💛

Come to this park for its barbeque, picnics, playgrounds and soccer fields. There's public washrooms, ample parking and lots of green space in-between different designated areas. Lots of shade underneath the mature trees.
Splash pad for those looking to cool off.

Connected to other paths and this makes a great trail and stopping point.

Fantastic Human and Dog park! This big park offers one side for enjoyable walking trails and one other side is an all fenced ranch style dog park with separate areas for different dog activities. The park is maintained very well.

Great for taking a nice evening stroll. We always enjoy going inside the Scarborough museum houses, splash pad, and kids play ground. There is a big soccer field here and it is also good to stop by and watch people play. There are some exercise machines as well. Some people use those. We saw people doing family BBQ with propane stove as well. If you are planning to do that, please check if you need permission or not.

Thompson park is also known for many festivals that happen here including Scarborough Ribfest.

I came here for Ribfest with my now husband and his family. It’s a great space for a large event. The park is well maintained with lots of trees providing shade in the hot summer months. This particular review is for Ribfest!

Amazing park to visit and spend time in. Very family friendly and lots of charcoal bbq grills for public use.

There are plenty of playgrounds and water park for kids and adults alike. Lots of shaded benches and sheltered picnic areas with hard roofs for any weather.

You will find an off leash dog park, with many friendly dogs and dog companions. There’s a museum with pay what you can, Jeff does a great job at giving you a tour.

Many trails to enjoy the nature and scenery. There’s also a ravine that runs through the park with ducks and fishes.

Huge parking lot to accommodate the demand when it gets busy.

Wonderful park that has a good walk and bicycle trail. Lots of green in the heart of Scarborough. The is even exercise machines and workout area . Also has tennis courts . Lovely mature trees . It extends into other parks . Free parking .

Thomson Memorial Park is a very large greenspace, full of trails, a playground, restrooms, places for picnics, a small water play area for the kids... Worth it to go here during the summer time. Parking is great, unless there is a large event on, which is understandable!

I definitely recommend going here and exploring. It's absolutely beautiful in the Fall, with vibrant leaves of many colours!

First time going to Thomson memorial park In Scarborough this park has a big dog park it has all different sections for different type of dogs energy lots of nice walking/bike trails lots of open green grass space playground for the kids it a perfect family park overall

If you've never been, it's a big park!! And we didn't venture into the dog park area either. We had a private function in our designated area. Parking can be tough as the day (weekend) rolls along, so be mindful of that. Consider the dog park lot and walking across depending what you are there for. Washrooms were pretty decent. There was a police presence there, just observing as they walked through the park, but nice to know they were on hand. Got dark quick, so plan your clean-up / exit if you're going to be there late .. bring flashlights or lanterns.
