I've been a loyal customer at Big Al's for a while now, purchasing fish tanks, accessories, fish, and even dog toys from their store. I can honestly say that I've never had a bad experience here. Today, I decided to drop by while passing through the area, just to do a bit of window shopping. During my visit, I once again marveled at the shark tank and the wide variety of fish they have for sale. The staff's commitment to maintaining clean tanks is truly commendable.

What made this visit particularly enjoyable was the chance to interact with the ferrets and engage in conversation with the parrots. It was a unique experience that added a delightful twist to my usual visits.

We got our lovely girl Ash here! Super helpful staff! Aliyah was amazing and very knowledgable!!! She is so patient and kind! And she really cares for those animals .

This place is soooo nice!!! I went in here for the first time with my bf today due to my car being in the shop across the street and I loved itttt! One of the workers was so friendly she was letting us hold and touch a lot of the animals and was explaining so much cool information about them. I wish I got her name but she had brownish Long hair. Theres a lotttt of animals here. They also have an underground section with tons of fish and a shark. It’s a really cool place !

I got myself this guy. And some toys. The staff was very friendly and they spoke with genuin care. Would recommend to come here.

Pros: I saw them on YouTube and the guys were very knowledgeable, so I decided to take a look They have a huge selection of fish in the basement. Very knowledgeable staff that will make sure you're not going to mess things up and over buy.

Cons: not really anything, maybe the prices aren't that cheap.

Overall: large selection of all types of pet stuff, but their main draw is the fish. So definitely worth a stop if you're planning to get yourself a fish tank, and need some help.

Excellent place in toronto for pets, fishes, pet food, pet toys, so many varieties. Must visit this if you have any kind of pets.

What an amazing place! Lots of species of any kind. Beautiful setup. I would even compare it to the Toronto Aquarium, but the benefit of a free entrance and absence of crowds.

I came here to purchase a new aquarium. Lee was incredibly helpful in his recommendations for what supplies and plants would work for my situation. The service was awesome and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

They've got a lot of products for different pets from birds to dogs. Downstairs you'll find the fish tanks which are a great display! They've got some small pets too like birds upstairs and provide great customer service.

Everytime I go to this place, I feel like I chose the best store to purchase my pet and pet products. Friendly customer services, tidiness, availability of products make me feel so happy. Keep the great work you are doing.

I’am a pretty new customer to this pet/aquarium store, but when I entered it was an amazing experience!

I arrived at the store around 2:00pm and I was looking for help and there was a young lady and man who were cleaning the tanks, and once I asked for their help they stopped and focused on helping me!

Justice and Sarah have a really great knowledge about fish and, their advice helped me get rid of the ick that my fish had. Anyhow none of my fish have passed away!

Sarah and justice were also explaining to me where ick comes from and made sure if I am doing my water changes accordingly and made sure I understood what I’ll have to do to keep my fish healthy.

They have great team work, and very great customer service I am definitely coming in again!

Lots of great Aquarium stuff, also small animals like birds and rodents. Fantastic displays and lots of deco so you can set up your own, whether fresh or saltwater. I love seeing the coral, and the shark is awesome.

Big Al's Aquarium is my go to Aquarium store. The employees there are very kind and welcoming, and if you have any questions anytime they will answer it immediately. The variety of fish they have over there is always a sight to see. On top of Aquarium fish, Big Al's also has a great variety of fish and other pets. The guinea pigs were my favourite. Great store!

This store is big with a lots of pets (not just fishes) and pet supplies. The staff are knowledgeable in their respective area. We've been there on and off througout the years and expanding beyond fishes are great. It adds so much more entertainment everytime we go especially for the kids. Everytime we go, there's always excitement and waiting to leave with many things.

The fish section downstairs is always humid and it gets unbearable after a while especially during winter with our jackets. But definitely worth to be down down we can probably spend an hour or two looking at all the variety.

Always watch their weekly specials, it's more worth it with the special.

Always have a great selection of freshwater tropical fish and plants (they look to have great saltwater too but I only do freshwater).

I've been going to this location specifically for over a decade. Tonnes of supplies and accessories and competitive prices. Many of the team have been there for a long time and are super knowledgeable.

If it's your first time and it's a busy day, grab a clipboard and start looking around, write down your picks and wait near the counter by the turtle pond. Someone will help you out when they finish with their current customer. Parking can be a tad tricky on busy days.

Check out the pics of Donnie Whalburger our Bristle Nose Pleco, got him as a baby from Big Al's 3.5 years ago, he is a Great Grandfather with generations in his tank and that has lead to the expansion to 2 other tanks. :)

Love Big Al's - kids always have a great time exploring the undersea wonders... especially the shark! Lots of furry friends on the other side, too... and a huge selection of everything you need for aquariums and terrariums to birds and four legged friends!

Great store!! They have a good variety of reef fish and beautiful corals (frags and larger). Their service is fantastic. We wanted to purchase a Lemon Peel Angel Fish prior to Black Friday; they had a 25% off sale and agrees to give us the discount prior - you don't get this service everywhere. They are very knowledgeable!
They also sell reptiles and have a very good selection.
