A lovely beach along the Northumberland stright. A piping plover nesting site, there's plenty of information. But they ask not to walk too high up on the beach in the dry sand during nesting season.

Lovely, long sandy beach. I was there on a beautiful day in mid-November and was the only one there. There is free parking and a short (a few minutes) walk along the boardwalk to the beach.

Beautiful gem of a find! Sandy beach. Warm clear waters. Sandy bottom. Long beautiful beach. Covered picnic areas. Changerooms. Boardwalks. Washrooms. Lifeguard service. Blueberries. Sand dunes. Poison Ivy amid grasses and blueberries. Plovers. Seabirds.

This is a family favorite of ours! Whether for a stroll on the boardwalk or the beach, this offers the perfect adventure for our family. Having lifeguards during summer months is reasurring and they have recently transitioned to an accessible beach offering accessible parking, wheel chairs suitable for submersion and a portable walkway that leads directly to the ocean from the boardwalk. The boardwalk is well maintained and offers a wonderful option for a stroller-friendly walk through the woods. Once the mosquitos emerge however, be ready for them before you step out of the car!

Was working in the area during the summer months, came here to unwind. Beautiful views and the beach was a nice mix between rock and sand.

This local beach is enjoyed by my family year round.
The Beach has amazing views, and usually has lots of sand unless there has been a bad northerly storm.
It is a nesting and breeding area for the endangered piping plover, so animals should be kept on leashes, and signage / barriers for the nesting area should be heeded to protect the sensitve ecosystem!
The boardwalk is great for walking, running, and cycling. Great for children!

Beautiful beach. The dirt road to the beach is pretty rough in some spots so take your time. This rural local gem isn't over crowded and they have wheelchair accessible ramps right down to the sand on the beach. This beach is on the Northumberland Strait and the waters are exceptionally warm for this time of year.

Stunning views of the ocean, few people on the beach, lots of wildlife to observe, and good swimming locations. Change rooms and outdoor washroom facilities available.

Well organized. Ample parking. Lifeguard during season. Wheelchair friendly. Toilets and change cabins well kept. Warmest sea water among the beaches I've visited (26C weather vs 20C water, not bad, eh?). Water gets deep faster than most beaches so take safety measures for children. Pets allowed on leash. Closing time is a bit early: 6pm. Coast is sand/stone mix but inside the sea is sand. Get ready for gang of horse flies

Really scenic and the water is very warm. Higly recommend swim shoes as there can be many rocks depending on where you set up. There is an accessibility mat, but it does not go all the way into the water

Easiest beach to access. Closest directionally to town. Includes interesting boardwalk info signage about local flora and fauna. Is home to endangered species of wildlife. Protected area, but still has a comfortable amount of leisure beach access.
