Main Street Cafe

Wonderful variety of food! There aren't many places where everything on the menu looks good at a fare price. This place has just that. The fish and chips are fabulous as well as the chowder. The pizza also looks fabulous! Wonderful outdoor seating! The portions are great as they fed our whole PhotographingInTheMoment (insta) #PhotographingInTheMoment team. If ya get a chance, stop by and give their menu a try!

Very nice restaurant in center of town. The food was good we got the seafood platter which feeds about 4 to 6 people. Bonus with the platter was you get a pitcher of beer. We got the Spicy Thai Chicken Nachos it was really good loved the wontons as the chips. Service was good atmosphere was good. Was one of my places to try in Antigonish and was not disappointed.

Recently had a very delicious curry there! Highly recommend it! Enough spice to feel the heat but didn’t overpower the flavours. And the naan bread was fresh and garlicky. Can’t wait to get it again! I should say that it’s not part of the menu but was on special midweek.

I posted a similar review for the hotel itself and the staff has already replied saying that they are updating the signage, so response from the management is fantastic, and for that I am raising my rating for the cafe to a 5. Stopped in here for brunch on our way back to Halifax and really enjoyed the meal and service. The Eggs Benedict was delicious, and the entire hotel was beautiful and charming. Washrooms for the restaurant were in the back of the hotel and the women’s washroom is buried the furthest back. There were signs pointing to the gentlemen’s washroom but not one sign for the women’s, even on the door itself, so you had to guess which one you were supposed to go in. Staff and service was great all around.

After seeing lots of recommendations to try this place we decided to give it a go! I ordered the black bean and corn burger with a garden salad and it was DELICIOUS! They had lots of other vegetarian/vegan options which was very exciting! Soooo glad we decided to stop by, can’t way to eat here again sometime soon!!

Patio is the bomb, would eat here everyday if I could! Food was spectacular. Had the Singapore sling to drink, haddock was so good large piece, chicken sandwich flavor 100%. Creme Brulet to end I all off with a cup of coffee. Would definitely recommend

DELICIOUS food!!! Had the scallop fettuccine...amazing!! Seafood platter and quesadilla was good too. Lemon curd cheesecake was TO DIE FOR!! Will be back!

We stopped in here after other plans fell through and I was never so happy about plans not working out.
The server (Artem) was very polite, helpful and attentive. He made us feel very welcome and important to him.
The menu was just the right amount of options. Our order came out fast and was fresh. We had the Penne and the Philly Cheese steak, highly recommended. I look forward to returning next time I am in Antigonish.

We stopped in on a whim and were not disappointed. The food came out surprisingly quick and was delicious (I had the Chicken and Mushroom Penne, he had the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries). We finished the meal with dessert (I had the creme brulée - it was candy cane and quite tasty).
Our server, Artem, was absolutely fantastic! He was extremely polite, very friendly and made our experience that much better!
We will definitely be back!

Wonderful, wonderful evening here on my first day in Antigonish. The food was lovely, very good wine list and the gentleman server was the absolute best, really quite extraordinary. Thank you so much!

Just cut to the chase and try the seafood chowder. It’s the best I have had for my travels in Nova Scotia. Came to me as a surprise as I was just ordering a light lunch. The staff was very accommodating and we got our order quickly after telling the waiter we had a long drive ahead to Cabot’s trail.

Great environment in terrace, great service and very good food!

We started with their brand new today artichoke and spinach wontons that were delicious. The I had the gf version on the chicken mushroom penne, and my husband the sea food trio pizza, both were incredibly tasty meals. Definitely going back this vacation!

Great food and waitresses are awesome. They go above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable.

Great with allergies (gluten & dairy), friendly and nice staff. Delicious food!! Can't wait to try the patio 😃
