Receptionists are always nice and helpful. When I call or need to book an appointment with my doctor I get in quickly. My family and I were lucky to get a doctor who is amazing, and wonderful with our daughter. I have yet to have a negative experience here.

I was very happy that I was able to be accepted as a patient several years ago. This is a great clinic with excellent staff and outstanding Doctors and Nurses. They also offer evening clinic appointments which is incredibly helpful. The reception staff works with me to ensure my appointments are within my abilities and scheduling thus meeting my needs as well as the clinics scheduling. They could not be more professional! I have traveled around our country quite a bit and have had various Doctors in associated small offices and larger Multi-Physician clinics and this "is one of the finest".
Kudos for doing it right!

Everyone's been nice here. Dunno why people are so angry. If you don't have a family doctor and are a dude, I suggest looking into the "Men's health clinic" which is also in town and very useful.

I am so surprised to see anything but an excellent review of this clinic
that I had to post my own which I do rarely. I came back to my home province about one year and a half ago because of a death in my family, and was unable to reach the walk-in clinic in the town where I live though I tried for more than one hour and on speed dial from 10:00 a.m. on.
I then called my former doctor's office from 2010 in Fall River and they suggested Truro or Mediplex in Antigonish.
I was able to get through to Mediplex easily, was given a telephone appt.
for the same week to get prescriptions filled and some tests one. Tammy is the person I have dealt with lately and she has been great. I have also spoken with Paula and have found her very helpful and respectful.
Dr. Irving has been the doctor I've spoken with and seen recently and I could not wish for a better doctor. I would like to import the entire office to the town I live in but instead I drive an hour to get to see them.
I do know that evening clinics at most walk-ins can be extremely busy and one needs to understand the pressure on everyone during evening hours.
I must say with tongue in cheek of course, that I may regret this as too many of you will want to come here now!

Excellent Clinic. I was not able to find a Family Doctor when I moved back to the area. So anytime I need to see a Doctor I call the after 5 number and make an appointment for that evening. The Doctors and staff are top notch and the waiting times are minimal compared to the Emergency Outpatients departments that are in the Antigonish/Pictou county area. I really think we need more clinics like this to help the public at a time when we presently have a shortage of GP's and very unhealthy wait times to get to see a Doctor in some of our Hospital Emergency departments. (***New Glasgow*** for example)

The doctors are fair and usually knowledgeable.
The receptionists, however, can be incredibly rude and lack the patience and basic human compassion to deal with the general public.
Not impressed by the receptionists at all.
If you have to deal with the public, put a smile on your face and at least ACT like you want to be there doing your job.

The doctors are fair. But some of the receptionist are extremely rude.

There is one time I had an weird reaction from my ADHD meds, called in for an appointment to see my university doc, who works there that night. As soon as the receptionist heard that I'm on ADHD meds, she immediately tried to decline my request, I have to yell at her to tell her that I'm not getting meds, just trying to make sure I'm not suffering from it.

By the time I got to the clinic, the meds has made my brain go offline to the point I can't organize my speech very well. That rude receptionist requested my personal info, which I couldn't say it out, and gave her my driver's license instead. That is when she MADE A COMMENT THAT IF I WAS THAT STUPID, HOW THE HELL WAS I IN UNIVERSITY, AFTER COMMENTED THAT I MUST BE DRUNK OR STONED, DUE TO MY SLOW RESPONSE. I understand the whole university and trying to score retalin issue, but man that comment is rude. It just hurt so much that some one alone trying to handle new meds, clearly understand everything, yet still have to talk sense into those unprofessional professionals.

FYI, I was in engineering program with good grade.

This practice should be reviewed by the Nova Scotia Ministry of Health.

Almost every time I call to try to get a spot at the night clinic, I'm told there are no spots left or that they are extremely late at night.

Their assigned time to start calling is 5:00 p.m. I call at 5:00 p.m. and often get through in a minute or two.

How can all the spots be filled in a minute or two?

I also find it very odd that I am told there are no spots, mention it to a co-worker and they say they always get in, because the receptionist is a friend of theirs. Several times, the co-worker has even said they had a spot that very night where I couldn't get one for my child. They called that morning.

That is unacceptable.

Even more unacceptable is that the clinic is, to the best of my knowledge, supposed to refer patients with a family doctor to go to their family doctor, or the emergency room if it is urgent.

Several people I know have family doctors, the clinic is aware of this, and takes them anyway. Including the co-worker who is friends with the receptionist.

Meanwhile, people like myself who are still waiting to get a family doctor, after 5 years, are being ignored.

It is also unacceptable that if a person does get a referral, to a doctor in this clinic that is accepting patients, be made to interview with the physician.
This is to, "...see if the doctor is willing to take you on.", according to the receptionist.

These doctors are paid by public funds from taxpayers, like you and me.
If anything, the patients should be interviewing them.

This place is impossible. Calling often doesn't go through even during their scheduled hours. Making appointments is incredibly difficult and they never seem to be open during their scheduled hours. I have not had a single good experience with this clinic.

never had a good experience with the doctors there. They act like they do not care! spent 2 minutes with me and dismissed me. So rude, if you can avoid, avoid this place!
The only good thing about this place is the front desk stuff! Very friendly people.

I called 25 times from exactly 5pm until 5:20pm just to be put on hold. Then they have the audacity after putting me on hold to tell me they’re full. Absolutely ridiculous
