Wow amazing experience!!! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and at home. Our server was kind and attentive. The most attentive server we’ve had yet in Costa Rica. The food was DIVINE. So so fresh!!! We had the vegan bruschetta, vegan gnocchi, and vegan pesto spaghetti. Everything was so so good. So fresh tasting!! The prices were also really fair! Highly recommend!

Walked by and felt hungry so decided to give this one a go. Waiter was very kind and happy person and definately loved to sing along some reggae songs. Good atmosphere, tasty food and delicious cocktails. Highly recommend to have a lunch or dinner here!

Besides being very hot inside the restaurant it was a good experience. There is parking right across this cafe, so it was convenient. The cafe is on the second floor and has pretty murals along the entrance. We ended up sitting on the balcony. The food tasted good and the coffee was strong. 😋☕ Overall, it was a good option to grab a quick bite to eat. We were hoping to get drinks, but I don't believe they serve alcohol.
We will use this place next time we are in town. Thank you!

As two vegetarians, we loved this place as there were so many veggie options. The food was excellent, the portion sizes generous and the cocktails looked beautiful as well as tasting delicious. The staff were lively and friendly and we’d go back again in a second. A great find!

We stopped in to Madre Tierra on our last night in Puerto Viejo. Hunting for a mellow spot to grab a drink, we ended up here. What a gem. We didn't order any food but the plates we saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Our goal? The drinks!

The service was a bit slow but... #1, it's Costa Rica. #2, it's the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. #3, it doesn't matter. You're on vacation so sit back and relax. The bartender/server was epic and was making each drink to order.

Even if you're not looking for food, stop in here for one of the best drinks you'll have in Puerto Viejo.

Stopped for a smoothie only- DELICIOUS and they brought me the remaining from the blender in a little jar. I love when places are generous like this, great service too! Recommend !!

More vegan options than anywhere in the area. Great service and fun ambience. Glad we stopped in. The gnocchi was great. Everyone loved their dishes. The cocktails were also large and delicious.

Beautiful restaurant, we loved talking to the owner Andre and getting to know more about the culture of Puerto Viejo while we sipped our massive and delicious drinks! It felt like we were dining at a friends house, if our friend was one of the best cooks around. Thanks again for a wonderful meal

What a brilliant find, I absolutely loved this place, the hospitality, the cocktails, the food... Those gnocchi are simply to die for! If you are in Puerto Viejo, you simply MUST stop by! Chiara and her husband are a friendly bunch and run the restaurant to perfection in every way, we sampled two different cocktails that were simply superb and as I already mentioned, can't recommend the food enough!

Good place for foood, many veggie options, amazing and huge sized cocktails. Pretty decoration on the cocktails. The owner is so much fun.

Loved the Caribbean rice and beans with chicken. It had smaller and softer rice grains that went well with the spices and the meat. It tasted really good!! The owner was also a very welcoming man :)

The best meal we’ve ever eaten. Andre has grown most of the ingredients in his own garden and talking with him was an absolute joy. I’ll be thinking about his breadfruit gnocchi until we return to Costa Rica. Thank you Andre for such a lovely dinner.

Wow! Madre Tierra is one of those places that looks like nothing special when you pass by during the day. At night, you realize that they also have a second floor that is beautifully decorated and decide to try it out.

Cocktails are generous and so good! Food is prepared with love and melts in your mouth. We had the vegan tacos and breadfruit gnocchi... did I say WOW!! already? The gnocchi was buttery and soft, the tacos were also excellent! We also had the patacones wih guacamole and beans. We will definitely be back there

How do I put into words how amazing this meal was?!? I was in Costa Rica for a week and this was the BEST meal I had. Amazing service, local, incredible unique and delicious food. Don’t skip on the cocktails and breadfruit gnocchi special was incredible. I would go here everyday if I could.

Loved this place, great atmosphere, great food, great drinks. Can’t ask for much else. We will probably be back before we head home. Didn’t get a photo of my food because I’m a fatty and started eating, but it was delicious.

Best food, great cocktails. Go to the roof top for a good vibe. No funny business here.. Vegan friendly as well! Lots of fish on the menu. Highly recommend
