Super nice workers who were patient with my Spanish speaking struggles. This is definitely a spot for locals. For 28 dollars with tip, I was able to order 2 hamburger combos with fries, 4 taco dinners, and 4 bottles of cold water. Enough to feed 4 adults easily. Parking is much easier further down the street, there is a super market right next door as well. My order was ready in less than 10 minutes

Our little spice is heaven in Nuevo Arenal. This place has the best empanadas ever!!! My husband and I come here before going to volunteer at KLC English school and it's a great little soda. We have had other dishes here, but the empanadas are our favorites.

Went here on a whim, ordered the empanadas (chicken, beef, and cheese) and the gallos (chicken and beef). Honestly, amazing. We are from Canada and the empanadas we get are small and meh for flavour. These were huge and tasted amazing. We ordered so much food that the lady thought we were crazy and canceled our extra order of sausage gallos. 10/10 would recommend!

Very authentic local soda. Yummy typical CR food. If you want to avoid all the touristic spots on the way between La Fortuna and Montreverde, this is a great spot for a snack on the way.

We stopped here for lunch on our way from La Fortuna to Monteverde and it was delicious! Authentic family run soda with good prices. Owner was very friendly. We had the chicken casado and it was perfect.

This soda had excellent empanadas (corn meal style) and casados. We tried the chicken (pollo) and ham and cheese (jamon y queso) empanadas and a casada with a chicken filet. We were not disappointed! Despite the language barrier the owner was sweet and gracious. If you are passing through Nueva Arenal you should strongly consider stopping and supporting this local, small business. We ❤ it!!!
