Roadside family-run restaurant with fantastic food options. Stopped by on the way to Arenal and ate the best chicken quesadillas ever. I would have tried other items, if only I could eat more. Super nice service and atmosphere.

I had the lunch fajitas and my husband had the seafood soup. Both was very feeling, and the seafood soup bowl was X-Large. Service was excellent. Clean restrooms and a great place to stop for lunch. Will definitely visit again.

We had lunch here. Ordered 2 plates of casado pollo, a guanabana milkshake and some drinks. The service was very fast, the waiters are friendly, the food is very good and cheap for the quantity. It's a nice lovely place on the side of the road. I definitely recommend stopping here

Very nice restaurant with good vegan and vegetarian options. There's a different menu if you're veg so be sure to ask for it!

We had such an excellent meal at this restaurant, we visited a second time! Great typical meals, a group of five of us and all our meals were excellent!

I came here during an excursion/tour.
I had a bowl with steak, avocado and much more.
amazing. Service was nice. Waitress with the braces and tattoos was cute.
The food was included with the excursion so I'm not sure about the pricing...but I'd definitely recommend.

Great food. Pinto is good for breakfast, very tasty fresh tortillas. I like the Chifrojo for lunch or dinner.

I love how almost everything here is open to the outside! I had the Sea Bass in tomato sauce and it was delicious. This was the last stop on the tour I took for my birthday and our guide Fernando called ahead and surprised me with a cake!

A great roadside local diner (soda) on the way to Arenal from San Jose.

Food was okay for roadside and starving.....chicken and rice was good....lemonade was good

This open-air restaurant on the way from Volcan Arenal to San Jose was very good. I had the steak "fajitas" with incredibly fresh and tender grass fed beef sources locally.

I stopped here for breakfast with a friend on our way to la fortuna. We ordered two cappuccinos and an omelet to share.

The cappuccinos were amazing- super frothy and sprinkled with the most fragrant and delicious cinnamon spice I’ve ever tasted- not to mention the size- they were served in oversized mugs with a beautiful dollop of whipped cream.

The omelet with vegetables, ham, and cheese, while simple sounding, was anything but. It was the best omelet either of us have ever had. Packed with spice and flavor and served with three fresh mini tortillas- we actually made our omelet into breakfast tacos!

All around super friendly and warm staff, excellent food, and very warm atmosphere.

A must stop on your travels!

Mucho gusto ! We passed this place en route to La Fortuna and stopped in for two breaded fish plates. Mine had shrimp and cream sauce, his was classic style, and we got yuca frito with veggies on the side. The service was excellent (English OK) and parking was ample but tricky getting in and out.

So glad we found it, would recommend!

this restaurant was fantastic! we came as a part of a tour group, and they had our dishes ready for us when we came which was very considerate. it’s a bit of a drive outside of san josé, but it’s a perfect spot to stop for dinner if you’re coming back from the la fortuna area. i highly recommend any of their rice dishes!

One of the best meals that we had on our trip to Costa Rica. Simple food, but fresh and cooked well. Fresh juice made with real fruit, and good vegetarian options.
