Tiny airport which stirred up exciting ideas of flying over Costa Rica and seeing the wonderful landscape. Beware of excess weight charges ! They weigh you with all your luggage to calculate fuel ! Small aircraft with only 12 passengers which makes for no queues ! Enchanting 😀

Very small local airport but actually modestly busy, small commuter flights between tamarindo and nearby cities. The plane of choice is a Cessna caravan which is a turboprop. The airport is serviced by a dirt road and the runway is grass so lower your expectations in those regards. However, if you're looking to do away with long lines, airport security and bag checks, then this is your place.

Exotic and lovely setting. If you land on that pista your life is privileged for sure. The arrival Terminal only provides milk mix beverages from the cows standing close by - and - you can hook up a horse transfer to your hotel. Nice options to start your Pura Vida experience. Bienvenidos.
