The consignment store is a great little place to find treasures and interesting things. At times it can be frustrating because there is nothing valuable there. In my experience, the turnover at this place is very high, so it pays to go in and check things out regularly. I am sure that it would be possible to ask the proprietor to keep their eyes open for whatever you need.

I have been looking for clock like the one in my post for two months. After checking the consignment store twice, I found exactly what I was looking for for $7 mil colones.

Great place to find things. We bought an unfurnished house. We bought some shelving, an end table and a dresser. Also some nice pics and wall decor. Love lots of the items.
