SLOFFEE BEST COFFEE IN LA FORTUNA

The coffee and service were excellent coffee. I didn't catch her name but one of the ladies even came over to show us where different animals were located in the forest. The views were beautiful and although we didn't see a sloth we did see hummingbirds. Would highly recommend this place, my only regret it not buying coffee to take home.

Excellent coffee, service, and experience. The Barista Josue is incredibly knowledgeable on coffee! He gave us a mini masterclass on the beans, different extraction methods, and even sampled us his go-to coffee, all from the goodness, passion, and love for coffee. It's no surprise why this coffee shop is highly reviewed, they're simply great people. Also there's an incredible view of the volcano and a telescope to see incredible wildlife (sloths).

Coffee here was absolutely fantastic! The owner, Josue, was really generous with his time while we were there. He shared his knowledge and passion for coffee while we had a nice tasting of the variety of beans. Everything we had (we went 3 times!) was delicious, but the cold brew on nitro was something special. We ended up buying 16 bags of beans to take home for ourselves and share with friends & family. Get yourself some banana bread and a cinnamon roll too to go with your beverage!

The owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable about all things coffee. Very excellent coffee. We tried the latte, cappuccino, and pour-over - all delicious. The pastries were delicious as well. The ambiance with the rainforest right there is the best we found while in La Fortuna. Highly recommend this stop!

The coffee was excellent as were the baked goods. Also it's helpful that they are open early (even on New Year's day) because we were traveling out of town and we were able to grab a quick coffee and breakfast before a long car trip.

The owner is really nice and friendly. He even took the time to show us a toucan and a lizard that he spotted with his telescope. He also showed us a video that he took of a Sloth with its baby climbing a tree.

Delicious coffee and pecan pie - we didn't see any sloths, but we were shown howler monkeys! And peccaries! Great place to stop by.

Tasty pastries, delicious coffee, and great ambiance. Clean open restaurant and bathrooms. Nicely arranged with great views of the forest. Highly recommend stopping here for coffee and pastries. Pura vida !

My spouse and I had a cafe mocha and an extra expresso shot latte. And a mushroom quiche, caramel cronut and chocolate croissant to share. They were all so yummy and delicious. We really enjoyed our breakfast at the Cafe Metropolis after our morning dip in the hot spring. The ambience at the cafe was so peaceful and calming.

Sloffee Coffee was our fuel more than once before adventuring on some hikes. The baristas were so incredibly nice. We actually went out of the way to get coffee, that’s how much we loved it. 100/10 would recommend!

This is a great place to stop for an amazing experience and coffee. We saw this on the side of the road and decided to stop. Turns out they had the best cold brew and super super warm and knowledgeable service. It was so good we stopped in again the next day but this time we got pour overs and they were delicious! Would highly recommend you stop here!

Great little place at the side of the road, but still very tranquil and inviting. Awesome coffees, tasty little treats and a stunning view into the green and towards the volcano. If you’re lucky, staff will point out some animals in the bushes and trees before you. Once we had discovered it, we came back every day whilst in La Fortuna.

Recently visited a charming coffee shop near La Fortuna, and it was an absolute delight. The Sloffee served here was truly amazing, each sip a testament to quality. The staff added to the experience with their kindness and attentive service. The view from the shop was breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop to enjoy my coffee. Additionally, the store's sign is adorable, featuring a sloth hugging a coffee bean, aptly representing their 'Sloffee' theme.

Great service and atmosphere! We enjoyed an americano, iced latte, cheese croissant, chicken empanada, and blueberry muffin while looking out at a view of butterflies, hummingbirds, and even a sloth!

Very good cappuccino and warm cinnamon rolls! Nice view and ambience. Friendly people, they really take their time for you to have a short (or long) talk with you. Definitely recommend this place!

WE FINALLY FOUND OAT MILK AT A COFFEE SHOP HERE!! I was so excited. Potentially the smoothest coffee I've had here so far. Great view for if you stay to drink it, too.

Great coffee, great bakery items, great view, great service! The staff pointed out several birds, lizards and wildlife while we ate our banana bread and sipped our drinks. Loved the experience - it’s a must!

The reviews don’t lie. This is the best coffee I’ve had in the twelve days I’ve been in CR. This is also the first and only place that’s had Oat milk! Thank you for having oat milk! No vegan pastries. Didn’t see a sloth. We came in the afternoon. They said come in the morning. But the vibe is peaceful and the coffee was worth it.
