After extensive research on the perfect vacation for my husband and I we decided that this highly rated resort was the best option. We wanted a romantic adventurous experience and with privacy. We hands down had the most beautiful amazing experience in this rain forest paradise. From the ride from the airport to the day we left we were in complete bliss. You know how some places have great photos and then we get there and it’s “kind of” like the photos… this place the photos only give you a glimpse of the beauty that only you can experience once there. I will recommend this place for the rest of my life! Also, plan on returning again!

We had an amazing anniversary experience at Nayara springs. It was an adventure in itself to get there from San Jose but one we will never forget. Once you arrive you feel like you’ve left all your worries behind. The welcome lodge was so nice and warm. Our villa was really cool and enjoyable. It is noticeable that the property is a little older but it was well kept up. We ran into a reservation issue but the management team handled it really well and made up for the issue in a great way. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the jungle atmosphere.

Excellent stay. beautiful facility. Intimate. Wonderful for couples. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent customer service. Looking forward to returning. Best place I have stayed would give them 10 stars if I could. Despite being completely sold out the facility always felt as if you were the only one there. Amor loco is the best restaurant William the manager is amazing Alex the bartender makes the best drinks and Leo the waiter was wonderful. Transportation to and from the hotel was great. Spa couple massage was magical in the bungalow

My husband and I are still on our vacation here at Nayara Springs. We came for my birthday as well as a relief from cold weather back in Idaho.
We have traveled extensively all over the world and have stayed at some pretty phenomenal places, but this place is truly something EXCEPTIONAL.
The staff here is beyond helpful, friendly, gracious and make you feel so welcomed.
Our villa is beautiful with everything you could possibly need and then some. We are already planning our stay here for next January. You will not be disappointed by Nayara Springs. We hired a driver to pick us up from San Jose which made it so nice to not have to drive or navigate your way here.
A special shout out to William the manager at one the properties restaurant with the coursed meals..as well as Johan,Christina, Charlie, Blanco, Angel and Ariel and Sharon. Thank you so much for making our experience extraordinary.

We stayed at Nayara Springs on our honeymoon in November and had the best time. The rooms are amazing and huge and the property is incredibly beautiful. All of the hotel staff were so welcoming and friendly – we felt at home from the moment we arrived. We did a bunch of the activities the hotel offered such as the bird-watching tour and morning yoga. The best part for us was how willing the drivers of the golf carts were to show us the animals! Shout-out to Stoian who helped us see a sloth in motion and Alexander who drove us around at night to see the frogs! The hotel staff were also great at giving recommendations for food in the area. We had an amazing time at Nayara and can’t wait to visit again someday.

It's taken me a while to get around to posting this review, but I would say this resort was the most beautiful and unique resort we have ever been too. My husband and I spent 3 nights there in late November 2023. Through the resort we had hired a private driver to bring us from Liberia airport. It is a very long drive and our driver stopped at a great restaurant along the way where we ate and took some amazing pics. We arrived in the dark and were tired so asked at check in if we could receive our welcome appointment the next day. They made us reservations at the wine bar for a late-night snack and brought us to our room in a golf cart. Our room was the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in with our own hot springs fed jetted plunge pool. It had a huge patio that had a table & chairs, a hammock and a bed. And outside the sliding doors the most beautiful tropical greenery with the sound of so much wildlife. Also, by the bathroom private outdoor showers. Inside a canopied bed, the dual indoor shower, more storage than you can imagine, living room area, desk and more...
Every inch of the grounds is lush and tropical, stone paths and tall plants lining it. Koi ponds and nature.
The included breakfast at Mis Amores (their evening Italian restaurant) was so amazing I would give it 6 stars. The service and food and views were perfection. We spent our first full day exploring the resort. I had an amazing body scrub in an outside room, and we spent many hours at the hot spring pools. They span out over many levels. All thermal fed but different temperatures. For some reason we were almost the only ones there that day and the bartender made us the best cocktails. They take such care with everything they do. We spent happy hour at the adult pool with a swim up bar and met some fun people.
We ate dinner that evening with a couple we met at happy hour and had the best steaks dinner at Nayla which is located in the adjoining (and newer) Nayara Tented Camp. Upon our return the golf cart driver stopped to show us all the frogs that only come out at night. We got some amazing pics.
The following day we had reserved through the resort a private tour to the Mystique Hanging Bridges. This was a wonderful tour with a knowledgeable and lovely tour guide who gave us insight into the all the cloud rainforest has to offer as well as so much about the Costa Rican culture. We saw deadly snakes, poisonous frogs, monkeys, tarantulas, wild pigs, bats and amazing insects all while learning about the jungle. After the tour her and the driver laid out a beautiful picnic which we enjoyed with them. Our tour ended with the cloud finally lifting and our first amazing view of the Arenal Volcano, cue many pics. After the tour we asked to be dropped off in the nearby town of La Fortuna where we walked around, took more pics, had a bit to eat and returned to the resort for happy hour:)
That night we had reservations at Mis Amore and it was once again a 6 star meal. The pasta in the parmesan bowl was the best I've ever had.
Although it rained (this is the rainforest after all) for much of our visit, we loved every minute of our stay at Nayara Springs. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay special. We left for the coast, beach and sun the next day with the promise to return one day.

We live in Costa Rica and this by far has surpassed all the resorts we’ve been to in this country. Our villa was very big and exceptionally clean. The complementary mini bar and laundry service was so nice! Every staff member was so kind and helpful, and spoke good English. We visited for my husband’s birthday and did not tell the staff but they must have noticed on my husbands passport and surprised us with a bottle of champagne, sweets, balloons and a card on his birthday. This made our stay and we felt so special. We definitely felt like we got way more than what we paid for. Food was very good and we are picky eaters! The resort is beautiful with so much greenery you can hardly tell where all the other villas are. They laid out the landscape in a way to make all the villas feel very secluded, there’s so much privacy. Anyhow if you are considering this resort just do it! You won’t regret it.

The rooms exceeded our expectations. You had your own little villa with a secluded spring right outside a little patio area. Inside, there was a lot of room, the chandelier was a nice touch in the living area. Loved the outside shower. The snack and coffee/espresso bar were nice too! The service was impeccable. Everyone was so nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The location was great…away from the business. It was a little bit of a drive to get here but once here, there was so many activities around that kept us on our great adventure.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, set in a breathtaking rainforest environment that promises both tranquility and adventure. The service here is truly outstanding, going above and beyond what one could expect. The staff is the epitome of accommodating, and the culinary excellence is unmatched, satisfying even the most discerning palate. When I encountered a minor issue in my room, the hotel’s response was swift and considerate, offering a solution that left me deeply thankful. It’s clear that guest satisfaction is their utmost priority, and they spare no effort in fulfilling every request. My time at the Nayara Resort was truly memorable, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. Big shoutout to Luis for his incredible support. Thank you for an exceptional stay amidst the wonders of nature!

Everything about Nayara Springs is just incredible. I just came back from my second visit there and I don't have a single negative thing to say.

When you walk in they lead you to a couch, bring you a drink, and handle all the check in stuff as simply as possible. The rooms are beautiful, with every villa having a mineral water fed plunge pool, outdoor shower, hammock, etc.

Breakfast is included and can be brought to your room in the morning or you can go to any of the restaurants on the property. Turn down service is twice a day, with complimentary laundry that is typically back the same day. The property itself is amazing as well, walking around you really are in the middle of the rainforest. There is wildlife everywhere including hawks and sloths.

Overall I highly recommend checking out Nayara if you are looking for a luxurious getaway in the rainforest.

Wow, I don’t even know where to begin! Nayara Springs was truly one of the most amazing vacation experiences in my life. The grounds were absolutely impeccable. I felt fully immersed in the rain forest foliage, nature and atmosphere but also safe from any animals, bugs, etc.

The room (villa 35) was very private and equipped with everything needed for a functional few days. The indoor and outdoor showers were spacious, clean and stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner. The outdoor hot spring was such a fun aspect to the room and used almost nightly. They even made sure to come through and clean it regularly. The housekeeping service was above and beyond and we took advantage of the awesome, complimentary, laundry service as well.

During the trip we visited each restaurant and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast (both at restaurant and in room) and everything was fabulous. Definitely recommend splurging on the 7 course tasting dinner with wine pairings at Amor Loco. It was the highlight of the trip!

We did the kayaking and hanging bridge excursions and they were great! The tour guides were super kind and very knowledgeable.

The pools were the perfect temperature and Nayara provided sunscreen and aloe onsite. Two of three pools had good views of the volcano as well as great poolside drinks and food service.

The coffee was AMAZING! We bought three bags to take home.

The staff was so kind and accommodating. They were always willing to show you wildlife, drive you around, and help out in anyway. All of them were true professionals! Special shoutout to Michael who served us lunch at Mis Amores and chatted about beer and books with us.

A few quick travelers recommendations for future guests. This is nothing bad regarding Nayara but could be helpful for any readers..
1. If you aren’t a sound sleeper, bring some ear plugs! You are in the rain forest and can hear birds and frogs throughout the night. I loved it, it felt like a sound machine, but could see how it might keep you up.
2. If you are taking a shuttle from one of the two larger airports, you will want Dramamine and snacks. Both of our airport shuttles took about 4 hours due to poor road conditions. The roads are very hilly and very windy! In some cases, we were even somewhat off road.
3. Note that you can tip on your transactions through your card on file at the hotel but will need dollars for tipping in excursions. We wanted to tip everyone because they were so fabulous!
4. Ask the staff for recommendations for places to visit in La Fortuna. They are very knowledgeable and we loved the spots we checked out because of the staffs tips. The town felt very safe and the Nayara staff was waiting for us with open arms and smiles when we got back.

Can’t wait to return in the future!

My husband and I had the privilege of staying here for four nights for our “mini moon” after getting married in Costa Rica. Our stay was nothing short of perfection and we agreed that it was the nicest resort we’ve ever visited. The villas are extremely spacious and have a beautiful (double-headed!) outdoor shower. They each contain a personal geothermal hot spring pool, which we used daily. I was blown away by the walkways and bridges that weave throughout the Nayara property - pictures do not do them justice. It really feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle.

The food and drinks are very expensive, but justifiably so. Each restaurant is unique and beautiful. You MUST order the french toast at Mis Amores for breakfast!! Our favorite restaurant for dinner was Ayla, but we also loved Terra-Asia - surprisingly great sushi.

The pools are lovely and quiet. We spent most of our time at the Nayara Springs pool but also spent a few hours at the hot springs, which are on the Tented Camp property. The Tented Camp pool has beautiful views of the volcano, but I preferred the ambience at the Springs pool. My husband used the Springs quiet pool for lap swimming everyday. It was always empty due to the lack of swim up bar. Also, no kids are allowed at the Springs, which was important to us.

The staff is world class at Nayara. Every single staff member greeted us with a “Pura Vida” and a smile - whether they were golf cart drivers, landscapers, waiters or housekeepers. Special shout-out to Andrey, who works at Cielito Lindo and Mis Amores. He was exceptionally friendly and made amazing drinks! We also enjoyed getting to know Blanco (Daniel) and Diego (golf cart drivers).

Editing to add that we stayed in Villa 4, and we loved it. It was at the bottom of the hill, very close to Mis Amores, the gift shop, the non-quiet pool and the coffee shop / reception desk. We enjoyed the walk uphill to the hot springs / Tented Camp property.

I cannot wait to come back!!!

We came for a special vacation and this resort did not disappoint. Our room was mildly dated but the location, amenities, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and food made up for it. This was a great place to have as a home base for all of the la fortuna tours we did. Make sure to visit the free city hot springs just before Tabacon resort as they were neat too.

I am long overdue for writing this, but I cannot recommend Nayara enough. Everything far exceeded our expectations for the honeymoon we took earlier this year. We stayed at two resorts during our honeymoon, and Nayara made the other 5 star resort we stayed at look like a 2 star. Nayara truly has the most incredible service, food, accommodations, ever.

The entire Nayara staff impressed us time and time again, but wanted to call out a handful of specific people:

Pool side bartenders: Andrey and Juan Carlos, made us feel at home. We looked forward to seeing them each day! It was SO hard saying goodbye to them!!
Coffee: Pablo & Arianna, we did the coffee tasting experience and since we’ve gotten back home, have changed our entire coffee habits because of them. Chemex + single origin forever.
Golf Cart Drivers: Blanco & Javier (and I think one was named Kevin), for chauffeuring us all over the three resorts and being so fun to talk to!

Other people worth noting (and again I hope I get all names right) Leo the sommelier, Diana one of the managers, Ever at Amor Loco, and Allan — Allan thank you for everything in getting us up to speed on the resorts, helping us choose excursions and more.

I’ll keep this short and sweet, but I echo all the other 5 star reviews on here. We absolutely cannot wait to return!

What a treat this was. 10/10 on service, room and food. Only slight issue we had was that our plunge pool took a few hours to fill up after checking in, and when you check in at 3pm, you'd really like everything ready, especially as we were only staying for 1 night.
Apart from this very tiny hiccup, it was pure bliss and a memory that'll last forever!

My wife and I stayed here early September, and I must say, it might be our favorite hotel we have ever been to.

The grounds are beautiful but spread out. We walked a few times, but it can be hilly. Luckily, they have golf carts that can take you everywhere; all you have to do is call the front desk from your room or ask someone at one of the amenities. All of the golf cart staff are fantastic. Diego came to pick us up after dinner one night and asked if we had seen many frogs. We hadn't, and he asked if we wanted to. So he took us to one of their pond areas and gave us a flashlight, and pointed out at least a dozen different frogs. Highly recommend looking around at night. They're very active around the ponds.

The included breakfast was very good. We had it delivered to our room the first morning so we could enjoy it on the patio. Unfortunately, room service is never perfect just due to the time delay. Highly recommend eating it fresh at the restaurant. There's a great view of the volcano, too.

I also recommend the guided nature walk in the morning. The guide was very knowledgeable on all of the birds, plants, and animals we saw. He helped us take pictures with our phones through the telescope because it can be a little tricky. We saw one sloth, two toucans, a couple of vultures, and a bunch of other birds.

The hotel offers some classes for $. We did the coffee tasting, which was informative. It was a little pricey but we don't regret it. It would be even better if they included a bag of beans roasted at the hotel. They have a rum tasting and a cocktail making class as well.

The hotel offers shuttles and guided tours of nearby areas. We had our own rental car, so we opted to drive ourselves. Everything I read said driving in Costa Rica can be a little sketchy. We followed Google maps / waze, and it got us everywhere without any problems. It was nice having the freedom to not rely on taking a tour bus or taxi everywhere.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience. It's very pricey but you get what you pay for. If we came in the high season I dont think we would be able to afford it but luckily

We stayed here for our honeymoon. I have done my share of traveling, and this was the BEST place we have EVER stayed. Wow wow wow. The whole place was impeccable. Gorgeous grounds and housing, immaculate, extremely clean. Incredible food and drinks at every on-site location. The staff was next level - very polite, professional and friendly (special shout out to Rodrigo and Yerlin and all of our golf cart drivers), and gave us all special attention and care (I felt like a queen the whole time!). We went to a different city and resort after leaving La Fortuna, and couldn’t help but compare everything to “The Springs”. We will absolutely be back again! Thank you for such incredible memories.

The best place we've ever stayed. The customer service is on another level! Better than the four seasons and Ritz Carlton. Everyone so incredibly nice. They go above and beyond. They anticipate your needs and work to make sure all of your experiences are excellent. If not excellent, they make it right immediately. Seriously blown away by this place. Also in beautiful Costa Rica with so many activities to do. Hanging bridges were beautiful. Great hiking by volcano. Zip lining through rain forest was once in a lifetime experience.
