Visited this park in Feb. 2024. Admission was $10/pp and $5 to park. The 2 mile hike from the parking area was pleasant early in the morning, a little warm coming back in the afternoon. You hike a road so no bushwhacking required. The falls are wonderful with a deep pool for swimming and we saw many jumping from higher rocks near the falls.

This waterfall is a must-do if you’re in the area! When you buy tickets at the office, you can hike to the waterfall or catch a ride. Either way, they will send a ride to pick you up when you are ready to leave. It’s an extra $32 per person for a ride down. We decided to hike & they give decent directions on how to get there. The views are wonderful but be aware, the hike is a solid 2 miles. From experience: wear good shoes to walk in, preferably sneakers!! We went around noon & between the heat & the uneven rocky road, it was a hard 2 miles. When you get to the falls, it’s worth it!! There are 2 entrances. We came in through the entrance closest to Uvita. When you get to the falls from that side, you have to stay on that side. So you can’t walk across & sit your stuff on the big rock like everyone else. We just found our way down the water through the huge rocks & sat our stuff on one of them, no problem. I recommend swimming out & sitting on the rocks under the waterfall. The water is cold but refreshing!!

Absolutely amazing destination for family outings! Nauyaca Waterfalls offers two options for exploring: you can either ride down and up, or walk down and ride up. We chose to walk down and then take the tractor back up, which was one of the most interesting ways to travel! It's important to note that if you have mobility concerns, the terrain may be challenging. Fortunately, they provide free walking sticks to assist with the hike. Our kids had an absolute blast. We went with locals, and it's worth mentioning that the cost for locals is less than for non-locals since it's a national park. We spent $70 for entry for two adults and two children. At the top, there are food and drink options, and it's advisable to bring your own water. The facilities are good, complete with areas to wash off after enjoying the river water. Don't forget to pack goggles, sunscreen, and some snacks - your kids will be so captivated by the beauty and fun here, they won't want to leave!

We just did the hike, got to their office paid the entrance, paid for our parking and walk the trail up/down to the waterfall! It’s worth every step!!! When you get there and see the majestic scenery, the refreshing water and the safety of the place. Highly recommend, the staff at the main office are super professionals and they are bilingual! ++

10/10 worth the hike!! There are various ways to arrive towards the Waterfall. Views are stunning and worth every moment of the hike. You are able to Hike, take a ride on a bus & horse back ride. It’s a beautiful ride any which way you decide to arrive. Great waterfall for any age! There’s even accessibility for wheelchair and elderly if needed. Will definitely return and a MUST DO IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA!!!

So it’s a two mile walk on foot both up and down hill from the parking lot, and 3 miles each way of you start from the park office where you can buy tickets anytime up until 3:30pm. The waterfall closes at 3:30pm which allows time for hiking out. If you walk and your a foreigner it’s 10 dollars a person for people over 12 years old. You can take a 4x4 truck ride from the parking lot which takes about 15 to 20 minutes for a cost of 32 dollars a person. My wife and I did that and found it very nice to simply ride down and back and you get 2 hours there which we found to be ample time to view the falls or swim whichever you like doing although I recommend both. The 4x4 trucks run on the hour, with the last one heading down at 12 noon. The water in the lower falls where you swim is 20 ft deep at the deepest point!

Beautiful waterfalls that were absolutely worth the hike! The path is steep in places, but easy to follow. Our young children (who are experienced hikers at 7 and 9) were able to complete the hike. We all enjoyed cooling off in the pools.

nothing short of spectacular. if you can manage, do the hike. its 4km and not the easiest terrain, but diving into that falls pool after will be devine. alternatively you can take a ride from the parking lot. there's two parts to this nature wonder and it can get a tad busy at the lower part. but everyone seems to agree on pura vida there. it's hard not to! full recommendation when in the dominical area.

The most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen.
It has two levels and in the bottom one you can swim in the wonderful blue waters. Becareful though, the current is very strong!!
The hike to the waterfall is challenging and should only be completed by people who have a relatively sporty condition or are used to walking uphill. There are alternatives though, you can go by horseback or 4x4 tour.
I can only recommend you go and see this natural beauty with your own eyes. The hiking tour including parking fee costs $12 per person.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Please be safe out there in the very slick rocks. The water is so cool and refreshing. Stunning views. This took my breath away at least 3 times ❤

Nice 2-part waterfalls. It’s a bit of a hike especially on foot. High humidity and hot temperatures make sure to bring some food and lots of water.

The path itself is pretty worn and torn so I’d suggest to bring some good shoes with you.

Option to take a swim at the waterfall or take a ride with a horse or jeep for a hefty additional cost..

Very amazing sights of the waterfalls and two nice pools of water to swim in. Excellent hike to the falls, or you can take a 4x4 ride up with the company that runs the sight.

There is more than one entrance. There are two main ones. One long route and a shorter one. Shorter one will take you to the left side of the waterfall. Longer one,(don't recommend if you have really little kids) Will take you to the right side of the water fall. Either way you can swim or walk across the shallow river and get to either side once there.

Beautiful falls with a refreshing pool below. The 3.3-km hike is moderate but has some steep sections, but it's worth walking.

The Nauyaca Falls are an unmissable destination for any tourist visiting the region. Its natural beauty is breathtaking, with majestic waterfalls surrounded by lush tropical jungle. The walk there is also an incredible adventure. Undoubtedly, a place worth visiting! 🌿💦

Great waterfall. Please forget all the reviews written before. We took our car to this exact point then bought a parking ticket (2 admissions plus 1 parking ticket amounts to around 25€) and took a rather steep road down to the parking lot which i highly recommend. Then it is a 1h15 walk/hike to the waterfall if you are average fit. You can get down to and up from the parking lot with a good car (no 4x4 needed) but you def need to put it your first gear haha. If you have a car dont get the lift that they offer. If you are fit and on a budget just walk from the station. If you are lazy and want to take the lift then go for it if you got the spare cash. Also it rained a lot so it was a bitt muddy looking but regardless it was breathtaking!

Highly recommend taking the horse back riding with lunch for $80/pp. Highly recommended if you’re near the area. The Jeep ride is $35/pp with no lunch and the hike is over 3 miles long in up / down hill.

Truly breathtaking . My husband and I took the horse riding tour and it was magic . The tour guides were awesome ( Andres and Denis) and the food we had was also amazing. The falls were absolutely spectacular . This was just an epic experience and I would do it again !!!

This is the location of the ticket office. The parking lot for the falls is about a mile further, then it is a 4km hike or you can hire a ride in the back of a pick-up or on horses to the actual site of the falls. If you go in during the wet season like we did in June, there is a lot of water in the falls, but there are still pools at the base that are quite still and good for swimming.
