Parque Reptilandia

MUST visit! This has been our most enjoyable animal experience here in Costa Rica and we’ve done quite a lot. Firstly this is great value for money. Not over priced at all, $15 per adult, $7 for children. Under 4’a free. We spent around 2hrs there. We were greeted by the owner who was really friendly, knowledgable and happy to answer all our questions. You can see that it has had a lot of renovations recently and how much love has been put in to it. The exhibits have really been thought about for all the reptiles. I was surprised at how far back the grounds went and just how many different species of reptiles were there! There’s also lots of information about each one. We found it was very well shaded so comfortable to walk around (we went on a very hot day around 1pm). It was not over crowded but nice to see there were some other visitors. Hope they continue to get this support because they are doing a great job of caring for all the reptiles while giving us the opportunity to learn about them. All three children loved it (3,8,9yrs)
Free and easy to park. Clean, new restrooms. Only cold drinks available to purchase at the moment. Thank for such an enjoyable day.

What a pleasant surprise! The exhibits were well presented, the animals seemed to be well cared for, the facility was very clean and it was a bargain compared to similar attractions. Our park host, Florian, was also amazing. He spent time with us to explain the park's mission and ensured that we had an incredible experience!

Beautiful park. The property and enclosures are beautiful and well maintained. The animals are stunning and looks very happy and healthy. The staff are very kind and courteous. Enjoyed being able to see the animal feedings, and walk the grounds. Definitely worth the time to check this hidden gem out

A respectable reptile sanctuary where they take more of a conservation approach. They’re not just there to generate revenue. They are involved in teaching youth about conservation and curiosity. The size of the terrariums is beyond appropriate for each individual species. If you are visiting the south of Costa Rica I highly recommend a visit to this center.

5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐What an amazing outing for all ages! We were 4 adults and just loved the beautiful habitats, huge collection of reptiles and beautiful trees and foliage around the park. We are living in Costa Rica which is great....now we can go back. This is a must see!🦎🐊🐍💕🐢🙌

Fantastic place for reptiles lovers. They have a number of different snakes, lizards, turtles and other reptiles from Central America and not only. Most of the reptiles were active and kept much better than in standard zoo. There are tables with a brief descriptions of all the animals (in Spanish and English). So, you can spend a couple of hours observing exotic reptiles and getting to know their ecology, where they come from, and so on... Highly recommended!

Love seeing reptiles. Run by quite the character - reptile-lover from New York who made his way to his dream job. LOTS of snakes, turtles, tortoises, lizards, amazing monitors. Fun stop full of locals!

Nice hidden gem! The reptiles are kept in great conditions, especially the monitors. Owner was great to talk to as well!

Clean, well kept, healthy animals. All in large naturalistic enclosures. Friendly, teaching staff. Picture and info of each animal near their enclosure. Great value for your vacation dollar. I am a reptile lover and they had several types I never heard of or seen before. Could quickly peak at every thing in just over an hour or spend 2+ hours there really watching some active animals and reading about them, like we did. The grounds have beautiful land scaping. Will not be disappointed if you like animals.

We stopped in to take a break from a long car ride. Wow, we were surprised. They had a number of different snakes, frogs, turtles and other reptiles. You could view them close up and learn a bit about each one.

They even had some baby snakes and lizards that were born in the last year. It was crazy how small they are. It took us about an hour to meander through the facility. It was nice because most of it was covered or in the shade when we went. That made it a little bit cooler.

Wonderful place! We had a chance to see so many species of animals. A very neat place, you can see the heart and passion of the owners. Everyone should come and see! There are dozen of snakes, all well described so you can really learn there.

So many cool reptiles and they all seem pretty content. I think this place is the closest you can get to safely observe caimans and crocodiles. My favorite reptile here is the komodo dragon.

They have done a great job and there is so much to see. Enjoyed it so much.

Great spot to stop for adults too. Worth the time and has great educational value for venomous reptiles.

This place is a gem. The owner was there and gave a special feeding show for us. Most of the reptiles were very active and much better than your standard zoo visit. A+++
