Super Cocles

Large supermarket for the area. It has an impressive variety of products, many of which I haven't seen in San José. Staff is kind and helpful and they keep it clean despite the traffic.

Wow. This is by far the nicest market we have been to while in Costa Rico. They have a little bit more of everything and the store is spotless clean and organized.

Was happy to see some nicer lunch meat and cheese and a larger selection of beer.

We are closer to other markets in Puerto Viejo, but will make the drive to go here instead.

One of the very few places I can find a 3 1/2 pound tomahawk ribeye. Their meat selection is fantastic!!

It is a beautiful store. It has a Britt coffee grinder station, too. It has all your grocery needs and some lovely gourmet foods as well. Amazing wine selection.

A large modern supermarket with a great selection of products, fresh (vegetables, fruit) and packaged, and friendly staff. It is located a few kilometres from the next larger town (Puerto Viejo) and worth driving there. Parking is available right in front of the supermarket. I also liked the design and the cool name and logo (seen from the perspective of the universal cautiousness around politically correct wording)

This store has a GREAT variety of products that aren't available elsewhere. They had Luxardo Maraschino liqueur!!! Made me sooo happy.

The prices are obviously quite a bit higher than in Puerto Viejo, but they have a surprisingly great selection of things a tourist might want: wine, spirits, hot sauce, mustard, etc. It's definitely worth it to stop in if you're looking for a hard to find item.
Produce selection is not amazing, but for a small market, this place has just about everything you'd need.

They have most things you need. Prices are reasonable. Good place to buy a couple beers and watch Tico's play the Mario Kart claw game in the evening. Tico's must love their stuffed toys.

This place has everything! Extensive wine section and alcohol beverages. Cheerful staff willing to help your shopping experience be a great one!

I was able to buy everything to cook Christmas dinner. Have some Spanish handy if you want fresh meat from the butcher in the back. The fruits and veggies are fresh and cheap.

You find here everything you need. Grocery shopping and even kitchen appliances and tools and some electronics. It's worth a visit.

From craft beer to ice cream, this place has everything you need. Not as cheap as the large grocery stores in PV, but good selection and cheaper than most pulperias.
