Hanstholm Madbar

Really nice ambiance with vinyl music overlooking the harbor. The food was fantastic, can really recommend the fish burger and pan fried fish dishes, and the local beer on tap was nice and cold.
The service can be a bit slow, but with nice views like that, it’s easy to overlook the wait.

After our visit of the Bunkermuseum we entered here for the seaview. What we found was just an awesome place with very nice "real" music selected and played by the owner.
We were served super friendly and was also some time for a funny chat.
We enjoyed Burgers, brownies and ice cream - outstanding...
Whenever you have the chance to visit - take a break here.

Upon arrival we were quickly seated by a friendly member of staff who made us feel really welcome. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and overall, the food was amazing. Also beautiful sunset view. Definitely recommend!

The food is excellent and the service even better. Our daughter fell and hit her leg, she and the other kids were offered ice-cream, she had her leg properly bandaged and they went above and beyond to comfort and make her laugh.

Extraordinarily delicious veggie burger and fries! The cocktails and beer selection combined with the amazing view from the windows and friendly were incredible! I can highly recommend coming here for a dinner!

Very friendly Stuff that helped us by translating the Danish Card! We had two very delicious fish meals and a very good blueberry juice made in the local area. And the view above the bay and harbor is so beautiful, too!

Amazing little GEM; welcoming staff, cozy accomodation with amazing views and plenty of space, tasty food in warm and happy atmosphere and spa with proper Finnish sauna - that made us Finns very happy indeed! Extra points for windy weather & for music straight from good old vinyls. Location is great for exploring the whole area!

Easy going bar/restaurant with friendly staff and good music. We had lunch here and ordered the dishes the English speaking staff recommended. This lead to a delicious Salade Nicoise with grill-seared yellowtail, a richly filled fishsoup and a sweet and tart gooseberry cake.

The local beers are also very good!

The staff here is great. We felt warmly welcomed. Even if we didn't have a reservation they managed to get a table, and we exchanged high fives with the staff.

I'm a vegan, and they happened to have a vegan member of staff there who put together a great meal for me.

Really the best view in the Thy Region for having dinner! Breathtaking sight, great service and very good food give the perfect mix to have a wonderful time on top of Hanstholm. My wife and me celebrated our 25th anniversary there and it was awesome. We started with the Hummus that came aside with a delicious eggplant mousse. Then my wife had the moules et frites, absolutely adorable sauce, perfect chips and the mossels were top. Me I enjoyed the Bunkerburger that came along with chips and it was a wrap! Fancy Longdrings(Gin Gone Wild) and the great Thy Fadøl came on top. Thanks for a wonderful time in your house on top of Hanstholm havn! See you soon!

We had an amazing burrata salad and a veggie burger with fries. Very friendly staff!

Perfect for sunset time, great mussel dish, friendly staff, good value

In this small village, its almost hard to believe there is such a nice restaurant exists at its prime location on top of the hill for the sea view. Everything was great, including friendly staff and the very tasty mussel dish I had. Certainly recommend and probably it's wise to book a table, as it is not a massive place. An outside seating area is perfect for its prime sea view and breezing (as long as its not too windy). Even if you're inside, you'd have some view as it's all covered in big windows on sides. If I had to pick any downside, it might have been a bit dirty windows, which is natural if you don't clean it often on a potentially windy hill. But even that can be a part of charm of this cozy and warm local restaurant. No complaint and I think it's an excellent place Tak!

Lovely place, took my mum and bestie there. The staff were so kind and friendly and even spoke English to my mum so she could understand which was fab. Food was delicious. I’m definitely going back, not just for the food, but the view and atmosphere!

There may not be Much to do in Hanstholm, but the Madbar is worth a trip. The tapas style menu is excellent, the view is amazing and the service is worth every dkk.

Good food and friendly staff. The view over the harbor is fantastic. On sunny days prepare to spend a few hours to enjoy the view.

Food was simple, fresh and delicious. Stuff is nice and smiley. Cosy atmosphere, perfect for a rainy day (which happens often here :)))) Very nice surprise in this village
