Cafè Del Yaroa is a ways to get to but well worth it.

This touristy cafe spot has friendly staff, one of the best coffees I've ever had and an AWESOME view. Don't leave without getting a pound of their fresh grounds. You'll regret it if you don't.

Coffee was delicious, location was absolutely gorgeous and they even happily helped me peel my sugarcane I acquired on my vacation. 10/10!

Great place to have the best coffee as our ancestors used to do it. Has a great bee of the mountains. It has a gift shop where you can buy ; coffee, souvenirs and other goodies. In their menu they offer different desserts, coffee, juice and cookies. The service is outstanding. It’s a perfect place to stop but when traveling from Santiago to Puerto Plata through the mountains. You will take amazing pictures in this place.

There are many words to describe Cafe Del Yaroa, but "exceptional" is only the start. We were recently driving through the mountains towards Puerto Plata, and for several hours we wanted a coffee. This Cafe was an oasis from heaven! We could not find a decent place to stop that was not dangerously on the road. This place is refreshingly up-scale, comfortable, clean, and overall inviting.
The view, and quiet location set back from the busy road was simply ideal. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
The coffee was superb, and the quantity of chocolate cookies were divine. We purchased several pounds of their coffee to take back to Canada. We look forward to our return!

Great place to sit back, relax and take in the mountain air. Coffee was GREAT and it being made the way my grandmother made it gave me nostalgia. Great place to just soak in the moment and smell fresh coffee as the kids play out on the field. Will be back!

Definitely worth a stop on the road between the north coast (Puerto Plata) and Santiago. If you want to get a little feel of the real campo life, stop for a coffee, cornbread, and queso de hoja here and relax in this beautiful country setting. Best to come in the mornings or early afternoons.
