Parque La Carolina

Parque La Carolina is a vast oasis in the heart of Quito, offering a diverse range of attractions. From children's parks and a BMX park to open gyms and tennis fields, the park caters to various interests. The presence of a lake, running field, and even an American football field adds to its recreational charm. The airplane monument is a unique touch, and the sight of police on horses enhances the sense of security. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there—whether strolling, exercising, or sipping on a refreshing juice from one of the kiosks. A must-visit for a delightful blend of nature and activities in the heart of the city.

I love staying by parks when I visit new cities and this is the biggest park with most amenities I've seen so far. Multiple soccer, basketball and tennis courts, full size track, skate area, family areas and more. Every city should have something like this.

One of the cleanest and most well maintained parks in Quito. It’s always nice to see so many people enjoying their outings here.

A wonderful place to spend the day with family. Lots to see and do for everyone, and plenty of space. On a Saturday was filled with wonderful food vendors.

Lovely park 🥰 Visit the Botanical garden for 4$/Person if you can, it’s a nice day activity. (Opening hours till 3 or 4pm depending on the day).

Really cool park. Has an airplane. Futbol fields. Lots of street food at certain times. We stayed close by and probably went 4 times.

great place to spend some family time

We are staying one block from the Park and have utilized the Park to its fullest. Today, Sunday it was full of life. You could spend hours there, and we did, people watching, visiting food stands. So many families in the park. It is just wonderful. We were particularly fascinated by a game called Cancha del Pelota which is supposedly Ecuador's national sport?

It is massive park. Ideal for a walk and exercise. There is a racing track, cycling lanes and places for muscle strengthening muscles. Also there is a beautiful botanical garden, I spent about 2hours there, and a little lake. Lots of attractions for kinds to play on.

We loved everything about the park. We started at the botanical garden (A real gem. A definite must do), then walked through the park barefooted (so clean there was never any worry of broken glass), sat in the grass and got grounded, watched the children on the BMX track (Wow!), and thoroughly enjoyed our day there.

Beautiful park with lots of space to relax and play. Also many food vendors and others. A very fun thing to do is ride a bicycle around the park. You can rent bikes from Roberto and his father. They are located en el estacionamiento C7 del parque la Carolina. a lado de la pista de patinaje. Great family.

Beautiful parc! So much to see and do. Could easily spend a whole day there!

Staying opposite this park for a month, so I've been pretty much everyday to walk around and work out, as they have a running track, outdoor gym etc. Place is great for families especially on the weekend.

This is a very beautiful park in the center of the new town of Quito. It is great for families. We felt very safe while walking thought the entire park. There are fields to play football, basketball, and many other games. There are small food courts everywhere.

This is a splendid large scale city park with something for everyone: futbol fields, basketball courts, large expanses of green with plenty of shady trees, a botanical garden and even an institute of biodiversity located within the park. Highly recommended, but safest during daylight hours.

This is an absolutely beautiful park in the center of the city. The botanical gardens within the confines of the park! There are lots of activities for children.

Has one of the best skateparks I've ever seen...the full pipe is epic and the scenery is beautiful
