Maxime's El Saltana café

We had a great time at this place for lunch and drinks. The staff (Saad & Mohammed) was exceptionally friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. The food and drinks were delightful, and the atmosphere was just right. A perfect spot for a relaxing meal and a great time with friends. We'll definitely be returning!

We picked El Santana for our dinner spot since it was close to our hotel. Our server, Ahmed, is very nice, and there is English menu. Ahmed speaks good English. The restaurant entrance doesn’t showcase the beautiful interior and atmosphere. There is an open court inside as a ShiShA (hookah) bar. Food wise, all the dishes we ordered are good. We order grilled meat dishes and pasta. Our group thinks is delicious of all food and drinks we had. I have chicken shirwama and okra tajine. Recommend to visitors around the area.

This was the friendliest restaurant in Egypt. Ahmed was very welcoming nice since the first night as a result we went there 3 nights in a row. The food was better than a restaurant we did th at was 3 times more expensive. Ahmed was so friendly and made my husband and I feel like we are invited home by locals. They also have this lovely kitten walking around.

Excellent place for sheesha. The atmosphere is scintillating. Sayeed the hookah maker is simply amazing. Professionally managing the health of the hookah and keeps moving around without even being called for. Excellent attention.

Impeccable service, great food and espresso with very reasonable prices. The garden area is beautiful and the entire atmosphere is very Egyptian. You should definitely try them!

This was unexpectedly nice. Everyone enjoyed their food. We were seated in comfortable lounge type chairs and given bottles of water right away. The service was friendly. The only complaint was the food took a while to come out. But that's what happens when it's freshly made.

I can honestly recommend grilled kofta with hummus and tahini salad. Best I’ve eaten in Luxor. Fresh juices and shisha are awesome as well. The icing on the cake was super polite and helpful service and the atmosphere of the place. I strongly recommend this place. Thank you Guys!

Super friendly staffs and tasty food. The decoration was fantastic and comfortable. You can try water pipe on the first floor. The cat was lovely.

I went with my parents and the food was super good. We ordered the Maxime fest for 3 people and it was perfect for us. The food is delicious and the service is great. They were super nice to us, they speak good English and were super helpful. I definitely recommend it and if I’m back in luxor I will come back!

A nice spot to relax with Shisha and Coffee after a long morning of visiting the sites. Convenient location too as it is located near several major hotels along the Nile. As many have said, the juices are quite good.

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and more than happy to help us with our dish choices. Portion sizes were very generous, fresh and tasty!

Best shisha I’ve ever had. Flavor and presentation were great. Ambiance was perfect. The fruit juices were delicious. I had Kiwi with milk and honey and loved it.

Very tasty moussaka with meat (you can ask for it) I recommend it. Starter are also delicious as babaganoush and tomaya (garlic sauce).
Mango juice is good and fresh made.

If you have a dinner ask for the menu I added here. Great guy Ahmed served us fresh and very tasty dinner. In the end he calculated all food right in front of us. No tourist tricks.

We did a tour of Egypt and here was the best shisha that we smoked, Sayyed (Dr. Shisha) prepared a fantastic shisha for us!!

The food in the restaurant is very tasty with good portion, environment is also very peaceful and quiet, highly recommend 👍🏼👍🏼

Great gem in the heart of Luxor! We were introduced to this place by our tour driver who we made good friends with. Tried both the cafe and the restaurant, both were excellent. Fresh sandwiches, best coffee and delicious grill food. Good service and excellent value for money.

Really delicious food. Baba ghanoush was the best we’ve had in Egypt so far. Staff was very friendly and we felt welcome. Mango juice was good too. Super reasonably priced.
