Great museum. Must visit if you already visited the louvre. Great building as it was a train station before and huge collection of pieces and artworks.
Most importantly is to dine at the restaurant with beautiful luxurious decoration and at the cafe where you will be at the back of the building clock.

It’s a beautiful museum with lots of masterpieces. Perfect place to escape the rain.
Booking in advance is recommended, otherwise will have to wait in a long queue. I got tickets online one day before. Came earlier than in the chosen time-slot - was still allowed to enter

Wonderful building. Impressionist exhibition was stunning. Even the cafe/restaurant is beautiful. Permanent exhibition space has many enormous pieces of art-take your time and enjoy it all.

Some of the best statue collections ever to be seen in any art museum anywhere. Also, hats off the ones who organize the galleries. The way the statues are presented is just brilliant: artful, lots of meanings hidden in the positionings, the directions, etc.

Beautiful museum with many masterpieces but also many yet to be discovered pieces. The floor plan is also sometimes a bit confirming. Queues are long. Even if you come early on a Saturday there will be a wait. Better to book tickets well in advance online. European citizens under 26 are free of charge but can’t buy tickets in advance sadly.

Ha! Things are never like in the movies! Have seen small portions of this museum, 1 or 2 folks pass by as the star sits quietly, contemplating the picture. Yeah, right!
Never has happened; I went through the museum on a weekday, and it was fairly crowded. From what I could tell and comments from some folks who have been there before, crowds are the norm.
One example is the Mona Lisa, right? I was able to get through a crowd of non-moving folks just standing there. Fortunately, I have long arms able to elevate my arms up high enough to get a job picture. I think.
Absolutely a must visit when in Paris! Only note I would add is that you really need days, if not weeks to fully see and enjoy all of this world class museum.

My favorite museum in the world. The setting in a former train station is completely unique and impressive. The sculptures and paintings, concentrated from the pre- to post - impressionist era, are truly breathtaking. The sheer size of some paintings is mind boggling, with unbelievable detail and unmatched artistry. I will be back many times.

Can this be anything but five stars? This houses one of the greatest collections of art on the planet. What really surprised me is how manageable it is in terms of size. It’s actually possible to do most of the galleries in one visit. I have not expected that, I think it helps that the grand concourse through the center is a glorious open space, filled with statuary that provides a respite from the intimacy of the galleries

One of my favorite tourist spots for a first timer for Paris. This museum was easier to tolerate than the Louvre... I find the artworks in here more elegant and stylistic than the classic Louvre, which is boxy and less ornate and incredibly crowded to even stand being in there for an hour. This museum by contrast was easy to see in one visit and it was extremely satisfying.

The museum is really beautiful, and there's so much to see – a lot of art and exhibits that can easily fill up your day. However, it tends to get quite crowded, so be prepared for that. It's definitely worth taking the time to explore, though, given the richness of the displays and the diverse range of things to discover.

Definitely recommend buying a ticket as the queue for the people without is wild. To be able to visit on a weekend (Saturday) in November, I had to purchase a ticket 3 weeks in advance.
With this, definitely worth a visit, not as crowded as you’d imagine one of the most popular museums to be.

recommending getting the kids in advance, we were standing in the queue for more than 1 hour. Once you are there make sure you are standing in the right one , as there is one for visitors with tickets with specific timings , a second for visitor with tickets with no specific timing and the third queue for visitors with no tickets.
The museum itself from an architecture point of view is a piece of art.

The museum is a bastion of impressionism and sculpture history. Converted from a train station to a museum, there are works of many important artists, especially Manet, Monet, van Gogh and Rodin. You don't need to buy tickets online in advance, but if you do, you won't have to wait at all to enter.
It is useful to allocate at least 3 hours. Don't forget to take a photo in front of the clock on the fifth floor.

Great selection of art works including Monet and Van Gogh.
I spent 4hrs here still not enough, recommend you spend a solid 6hrs here at least if you want to take time to enjoy the galleries and exhibitions.
I booked online for free admission when it was available, highly recommended to do so, even if paying for entry is still totally worth it!
There’s also a nice cafe in the building, you can sit down and enjoy different view when you are tired of walking.

This time, I visited the museum only to see the special van Gogh exhibition. I recommend buying a timed ticket in advance for both the virtual show (10 minutes, but very well done) and the exhibit itself. The lines in front of the paintings can be obnoxious, and one has to work one's way through the crowd. It took me about two hours to work my way through the exhibition, but it was well worth it. I rewarded myself by having a nice lunch at the second floor restaurant, which itself is a piece of art with painted ceiling and gilded mirrors.

Great museum and not to overwhelming!
We did not have tickets so we waited in line for 20 minutes and got inside and bought tickets. I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance so you can skip the line.
The museum is well laid out and easy to get through in less than a day.
Definitely check this out if you don’t have the time or energy for the Louvre.
The cost to enter if you are not eligible for the free ticket is €14.

This is one of my favourite museums in Paris.
There are lots of collections across several floors.
Expect sculptures, Van Gogh's and a big gift shop.
There is a free cloakroom so make use of that and you can pay for audio guides.
There are two cafes too and you can easily spend half a day in the museum.

You really can't ask much more of a major art installation. They offer significant works by significant artists, movements neatly organized in a gorgeous establishment, rotating schedules of temporary exhibitions, and even fair dining options.
This is one of the "must visit" locations in Paris and certainly among the most important art museums on Earth.

Very nice! I truly recommend to get at least 3 hours to visit it and an audioguide. Also, get online tickets and skip the line. It took us 13 minutes to enter the museum, not 2 hours like those who were waiting in line to buy them cash.

Amazing as always. Takes you on a ride through time so you can see how art developed over the course of 75 tumultuous years. If you go to one museum in Paris, make it the Orsay
