The Hub

The owner is very kind and friendly. The place is clean and very comfortable, with all necessities. Equipped kitchen. Hot water at low pressure. The dorms are pretty. Big sized beds with curtains. Towel is given. 10 mins walk away from centre, yet a step away from town. Which makes it very quiet. Overlooking the lake.
This place could be like a little paradise if there was more green around and was given some loving care.

I had the loveliest stay at The Hub. Marco, the owner, was so helpful and approachable. He took us up to La Nariz for sunrise which was incredible! The hostel is just outside of the centre but only a 5 min walk and this gives you such peace and quiet, as well as amazing views of the farmland and the lake from the kitchen. Also you’re only a 15 min walk from playa las cristalinas where you can swim. I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay by the lake :)

What an incredible experience, I will never forget the feeling of waking up in a confortable bamboo dorm, the kindness of erwin and marcos, the most kind dogs of all time, the feeling of family that comes so Quick, the calm village of San Juan and a lot of other magical things that are happening in the Hub! Staying gave me so much hope because of the permaculture garden project, the recycling Center and on and on

Honestly I think this is the Best place to stay in the lake! The owners are basically angels! And the place feels like home.

The Hub in San Juan la Laguna provides a one of a kind experience! This community-based hostel is directly on the lake and is only a 5 min walk outside of town, this makes it a convenient and private location for those looking for something unique. The Hub has semi-private beds along with a large dormitory, which is perfect for large groups. Your stay includes access to the full-kitchen (with fridge, stove, sink and filtered water!), along with a shared space for relaxing/playing card games, as well as hammocks under a shaded space outside. The Hub has a temescal (traditional sauna), indoor shower, flushing toilets AND compost toilets. The property itself is beautiful, surrounded by mountains, and has multiple community gardens that are used by local organizations in the community. I definitely recommend staying at the Hub, or at the least contacting the staff to stop by for a visit! I LOVE IT HERE <3

Amazing place, Marcos and Erwin, that are in charge will share wirh you the secrets of the Mayan Culture (your Nawal or the process of coffee or the temaskal) in this great hostel ! Lovely view on the lake and 5 star kitchen ! You feel home and get hope while staying there !

S'il y a un endroit ou dormir a San juan c'est la bas , un petit havre de paix, avec vue sur le lac , en pouvant faire des câlins aux chiens.

Hace un par de mese fuimos un grupo a San Juan la Laguna, fue una experiencia increible subimos a la nariz, recorrimos muchos lugares realemente una experiencia única, a pesar deque eramos un grupo grande todo resulto increible y todo eso se lo debemos al Guia Erwin del grupo Hub, del centro Sakbe deseamos volver pronto al centro sakbe y compartir con Erwin, realemente les reocmiendo visitar el centro Sakbe de San Juan la Laguna
