Caffe La Cabaña

A little tropical getaway! If you are looking for a really cute spot to eat, this is for you. It has so many little nooks and crannies, the seating options are endless. They also have a trampoline, swings and many perfect photo spots. Most importantly, the food was fantastic!

My travel companion and I also stayed in their little apartment. It is absolutely gorgeous! (You just need to be ok with the odd spider.) The owners were also so kind as there were issues with the electricity so they partially refunded us.

Very cute place to eat at if Visiting San Juan la Laguna. I went in mid May and it was not crowded(might also be due to Pandemic). If you have a big group you can ask for the hut area with the heart as it has many tables available and it provided more privacy. The food was delicious. I had the shrimp which was very juicy and flavorful. My sister had the pasta which she liked. My dad said the fish tasted a bit plain (no seasoning). It was 3pm and they ran out of the fish so that might always be limited. The Mojito was refreshing but it didnt taste like it had liquor at all. After meal we walked the property to take pictures on the swing, hammock and romantic table on the beach. Definitely a great romantic spot! Hated the flies but that's all of Guatemala.

Cute place with a great view on the lake and the embarcadero in San Pedro. The service was wonderful and we very much enjoyed our plate of giant nachos. I would recommend the michelada.

Beautiful spot by the water with pretty tables and delicious food. A bit hard to find but worth it.

What a breathtaking view and their seating makes you feel as though you are sitting on the lake. Such friendly staff who make delicious food ( we ordered mushrooms pizza) and drinks that we stayed long after sunset and just loved it more

Paradise

Oui, le temps d’attendre est très long. Oui, il y a des chiens du propriétaires qui sont aux aguets pour avoir un peu de nourriture (ils sont néanmoins très gentils et ne vous mordront pas). Mais la nourriture était très bonne. Personnellement, on a trouvé que c’était le meilleur restaurant de San Juan. Je recommande les nachos et les gambas grillés.

C’est dommage que Google ne propose pas cet endroit comme première option lorsqu’on cherche un restaurant, nous avons failli le manquer. Heureusement un monsieur nous l’a conseillé et nous a guidé jusqu’au Caffe La Cabaña. Je considère que c’est un endroit pour venir prendre le temps de vivre le moment. En ce qui concerne le temps du service il faut avoir du temps lorsque vous venez à ce café ce n’est pas la place qui va vous servir en 5 min comme au McDo. Toutefois c’est un endroit magnifique ils ont des espèces de lit dans les airs avec une vue sur le lac où on peut se coucher et prendre un peu de soleil. Pour ce qui est de la nourriture, nous sommes plus que ravis des plats que nous avons commandé. Les portions sont très généreuses, nous avons dégusté les ailes à la sauce bbq , une quesadilla au poulet avec de la vraie guacamole et pour ma part j’ai mangé ce que l’on appelle un déjeuner typiquement Guatémaltèque : œuf , plantain , avocat, tortillas , petite salsa et un fromage délicieux. Nous avons fait une superbe découverte!

Sehr schöne Location direkt am Wasser, leckeres Essen, netter Service und sehr nette Hunde! Man sieht nicht auf Anhieb den Eingang, aber über die Stege am Wasser kommt man auf das Gelände 😊

Me fascinó, muy lindo el lugar y muy buen servicio y comida, la próxima ida, a quedarnos en el apartamento con una linda vista a Atitlán.
Hay que visitarlo, en especial por su buen menú.
