MUNDO DE ABEJAS MAYAS

This is a bee coop owned by 17 locals and their families. We couldn't resist making the trip to support them! The tour was fascinating and one of the tour guides was so incredibly knowledgeable about the surrounding ecosystem. The honey tasting at the end was fantastic. The black honey tastes completely different than what you'd find in a store. Mayan bees are tiny!

Definitely a very interesting tour, you learn A LOT about the bees and they walk you through all the different species and beehives they have on property, they also have a lot of honey based products available

Located in Sn Juan De La Laguna, this is a must visit. You will learn, FOR FREE! If you are like me whose knowledge about bees was their importance to us and our planet then I highly recommend you visit MUBDO DE ABEJAS MAYAS!!! I upon your arrival you will be cordially greeted by your groups designated trained expert for a tour and a learning session about bees, polen and their enormous medicinal benefits or their honey, and its derivates. Certainly, the Mayans are particularly knowledgeable about their regional bees. Upon completion of the tour you are invited to purchase one or a few of their various products, in fact even if you do not purchase anything you will still be offered a tasting of their various honeys.

Nice local business, they give you info about the different type of bees. You can buy products made from bees and try some of their products as well. They charge for the tour, takes about 25 minutes.

Precioso lugar para conocer mucho de las abejas 🐝 me pareció muy interesante toda la información brindada ya que mucha de la misma la desconocía! Al final de la experiencia venden muchos productos basados en la miel 🍯

El recorrido dura como 20 minutos. Recomiendo este lugar para conocer más sobre las abejas y los productos q se trabajan de la miel.

Una experiencia MUY recomendable y casi obligatoria de realizar en San Juan La Laguna.
Es un tour bastante interesante incluso con degustación de miel.

La tienda al final de la demostración es el final perfecto para apoyar la economía local y llevarse un bonito y original recuerdo del lugar.
